@LearnWithDana Right?!? Do you just ignore and resbmit elsewhere or rework entirely only to risk the same fate? Good luck, though! It will happen eventually ...and the ego boost from each citation will be worth it

@Betty_EvalEd Very good point! It seemed pretty detailed though I haven't given it too much thought yet because I'm both still a bit emotional and because I'm way too busy to get to it and figure out what next steps might be 😂

@amandalizier But... do we need online-specific theories to theorise those differences, or should general learning theories be able to make sense of the differences?

Should online learning have its own learning theories, or should all learning theories be able to account for remote and on campus (+ blended + hybrid) learning?

@timbocop Right?! Imagine a world where we actually used meaningful data, near-term to inform how we train, and support teachers/programs to optimize their impact (and maintain wellbeing)? Rather than collect volumes of unreliable data to determine whether or not to promote them.

@Betty_EvalEd I guess I really mean that evaluation and faculty development should be designed to complement each other (which would IMO lead to multi-source data evaluations because it would more clearly show how useless/harmful post-session surveys are in isolation of other data sources).

In my experience, formal teaching evaluation and formal faculty development are largely disconnected. That's weird, right?

@weblearning @timbocop Right?! Continually amazed at how often new [insert tech, program, method] are positioned as going to "solve" [insert highly complex problem] without any assc plans for examining [or navigating] what harmful or limiting effects will likely unfold in parallel.

Well it’s July 7. Should be in full summer mode ( I.e shorter days, less work, more writing time) but for some reason the days are long, workload still high and deadlines looming! Am i doing something wrong!? All advice welcome

And, this is why places like @CentreforFacDev are critical support systems for academic institutions and #hpe. Those thrust with the responsibility of training the next generation of professionals need much more than content expertise
