Why should they “owe” them anything? This is plain entitlement. Feudal thinking. An MLA demanding free tickets, a separate gallery, and refusing to sit with the public reveals their belief that they are somehow above the very people they represent. That is the problem. If citizens have to buy tickets, so should MLAs. Simple. Unless we call this out clearly, we will keep normalising a culture of entitlement. I feel compelled to speak some truths about Madhu Kishwar today. I first got introduced to her in 2014 through a journalist from Delhi. After that, we spoke many times.
