#BREAKING: RCMP says no current clandestine activities in Canada linked to government of India ctvnews.ca/politics/artic…

"Today, once again, we have lost our families all over again, this time to the Canadian justice system." These were the words of @sjlazars outside the British Columbia Supreme Court, 21 years ago on this day. As Justice Josephson uttered the fateful verdict, the hearts of the families of the victims sank. Many travelled long distances - some like Lazar, halfway around the world - in their quest for justice, placing their faith in the Canadian justice system. There was evidence, thanks to the exceptional Japanese forensic work in tracing the Sanyo tuner to Inderjeet Reyat and the mastermind, Parmar. The families of the victims and the journalists like @CBCTerry, @kbolan and @BalrajDeol4 believed the Canadian justice system would finally deliver accountability. Instead, they were handed a verdict riddled with contradictions and baffling reasoning (read Kim Bolan’s book, “Loss of Faith,” and Terry Milewski’s book, “Blood for Blood: Fifty Years of the Global Khalistan Project”) ending in the acquittal of Khalistani extremists, Ripudaman Malik and Ajaib Bagri, accused in the deadliest terror attack in Canadian history. It didn’t matter that every single prosecution witness had passed the lie detector test. It didn’t matter that witnesses endured years of violence, intimidation and pressure from Khalistani extremists. It didn’t matter that Ms. D, now forever under witness protection, put her life on the line for justice. It didn’t matter that Tara Singh Hayer, who was on the verge of becoming a key witness, ended up being the first journalist in Canada to be assassinated for his anti-Khalistan reportage. Rightly so, 68% of those polled in British Columbia disagreed with Justice Josephson's verdict. In her chilling words, Ms. D, while disagreeing to advise any witness, in her shoes, to take a risk and help the police again, said: “Our justice system is not made for truth” We hope, someday, this will not be true. ॐ शान्तिः to the victims who were killed once again, 21 years ago, by the Canadian justice system. 🙏 (Image courtesy: Reuters)
