@vaishprasad11 @hellonehha You will be paid below market rate on paper. However, that company had some loophole due to which the in hand salary was really high, hence no complains. Source: wife who used to work with one of the companies.

Salary of 1 engineer in UK ==== salary of 4 engineers in India (WITCH companies) I have seen the negotiations that Indian leadership do to get their indian engineers to replace onsite engineers. The worst is that no one talks about quality of these engineers at all

When layoffs happen in MNCs, why do they also start hiring aggressively? Because they often lay off high-paid employees (US/Europe)
and hire in countries like India where salaries are lower. You might be shocked, but on average
1 US software engineer = 3–5 Indian engineers (cost-wise) It’s not just layoffs, it’s cost cutting.

ghosted by recruiters for asking company name!! What’s this new behaviour with recruiters of not sharing company name? 2 different recruiters reach out to me. JD was okay with me. No salary discussion, or any discussion. I only asked company name and they ghosted me 😂

Most people start working at gully labs long before their official start day. Maybe they are moving cities and fly a few times to spend time with the team Or they start allocating a few hours daily You need to optimise for missionaries and not mercenaries at early stage Each person is so so crucial

Interviewed a backend developer. Guy was at 21 LPA. We offered 28 LPA, roughly a 33 percent hike. He agreed and confirmed joining. Yesterday he emailed saying he got a 32 LPA offer elsewhere and now wants 36 LPA from us. Nonsense. Why agree in the first place. If you are still shopping offers just say it upfront. We stopped interviewing other candidates and waited through the notice period for the joining date. Now two days before joining, he came back with a new price tag.

This story of the review PR in claude code > Identified critical ci error there is double .exe in the generated artifact > fix it > There is no double .exe bug here. The review was wrong on that point > -$15

I once worked in a large company where there there was this person who creates such beautiful work in excel and presentation. it impressed everyone except the finance folks. They had to go through the work and point out mistakes. This person was better at the beautification than the work. It was extremely frustrating to deal with because everyone thought of them as competent. They were eventually moved to another function so that sanity could prevail. I am finding that Claude Cowork is a lot like that. Gorgeous output that requires auditor level attention to trust because it makes weird errors. No one believes it when it fucks up because surely Claude is never wrong. A corporate bullshit artist.
kuldeep@ku1deep

I gave Claude Cowork an AWS cost report and asked it for an analysis. I offered it context in markdown and architecture knowledge in another file. Game it an example working. It generated extremely pretty and hilariously wrong output. I spent 2 hours debugging and fixing the prompt and then ran out of limits. Doing it in Excel took 30 mins. I think I am too stupid for this AI thing.
