@CP24 RE in the GTA is not worth 8-9 X income. Canada is as good as dead now. Booming Texas which Destroys Ontario in every single economic metric is priced at 4.1X income and considered in a RE bubble. RE has to drop another 50%. Why should be pay more for cold dark, high COL 🇨🇦 ?
@angie1984canada@BillTufts@MarissaSecord You have to look at total or fully/loaded comp including benefits and pension which can bring those numbers up quite a bit
@BillTufts@MarissaSecord The salary you are quoting is false. It is public. Easily verifiable. Most CRA make between 50-110K. Specialized work and upper management make more than 150K.

@Nobiita52 I run a small business that does software development and business has been booming from people vibe coding apps that don’t run or error out that they have no idea how to debug. I hear frequently “this app is the next blockbuster, I just need to get it on the App Store”
I met an IT professional today. He told me that when he joined his company three years ago, his team had 14 members. Today, only 4 people are doing the same work. What's even more concerning is that he himself isn't sure when he might be laid off.
AI is going to eliminate a large number of white-collar jobs. The impact is already visible, and it seems likely to accelerate in the coming years.

“Smartest CEOs” in this context makes no sense … RTO is a fool’s errand, linked to zero information other than “Elon did it”.
There’s nothing wrong with a company having offices, and there’s nothing wrong with preferring to go to an office. But proclaiming it’s a universal best is poor strategy.
AI right now feels a bit like Remote Work 6 years ago.
Everyone was saying nobody will ever go back to an office.
6 years later, some of the smartest CEOs are pushing their people into the office at least 3 and often 5 days a week.
It feels like we're in the hype cycle of AI similar to remote work several years ago.
AI will and has radically transformed work but it feels like the hype of "this will cut every job" is pure hype and not based in any reality.
These puppies were going for 1.9M way back in 2022.
Now the subdivision can hardly sell for over 1M.
If you got money - you scooping this up.
If it was me … I’d low ball to 899K.
Welcome 2 Canadian real estate.
The world has no choice but to take the cyber threat associated with Mythos seriously. But it’s hard to ignore that Anthropic has a history of scare tactics. Examples:
@WifiMoneyPlant hahahaha, sure she took a $90K pay cut? for $90K, she could hire a professional English nanny to pick up the kids AND a cook to make dinner every night!
I know so many people leaving six-figure jobs to make half as much doing their own thing.
A friend just left her $150K corporate job for a $60K online business so she can pick up her kids from school and have dinner with her family.
This trend is only growing.

The only place that looks decent is Clifton Hill and that’s because it’s managed in full by the Sheraton Hotel group.
What does the City of @niagarafalls piss its $190M budget on yearly?
Went to the grocery store today and it didn’t feel like I was living in Niagara anymore, it didn’t even feel like Canada. The rate of change is shocking.
amazon's internal A.I. coding assistant decided the engineers' existing code was inadequate so the bot deleted it to start from scratch
that resulted in taking down a part of AWS for 13 hours and was not the first time it had happened

@JonFlynnREstats I was looking at this place as an investment and it reeked of cat piss and moisture issues. I wouldn’t pay over 200k
