Tonight, two young New Yorkers fell while subway surfing on a Brooklyn-bound J train near the Williamsburg Bridge. One teenager is dead. Another is fighting for his life. This is a preventable tragedy. No family should get a phone call like that. Subway surfing is deadly. My heart breaks for the families of these young people.

We just introduced a long overdue joint resolution proposing a constitutional amendment to require Members of Congress, federal judges, and Senate-confirmed officers to be natural born citizens. This is the very same standard the President and Vice President are already required to meet. The people writing America's laws, confirming America's judges, and representing America on the world stage should have one loyalty: America. Not any other country. For too long we have allowed foreign born members to hold seats in this government while making clear they are America last, not America first. We see it every day. This constitutional amendment will put an end to it.

I am horrified by the deadly attack at the Islamic Center of San Diego, an apparent act of anti-Muslim violence. Islamophobia endangers Muslim communities across this country. We must confront it directly and stand together against the politics of fear and division. My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and the entire community grieving this devastating attack. The NYPD is increasing deployments to mosques across the city out of an abundance of caution. There are currently no known threats to NYC houses of worship.

Yale School of Medicine Has a total of 553 students across All four classes. Total Black students: 44. That’s ~10 per class. Total Asian students: 157. That’s ~40 per class. There are nearly as many Asian students PER CLASS as there are Black students in the entire school. Black: 14% of America. Only 7% of Yale Med Asian: 7% of America. 28% of Yale Med. I refuse to interact personally with Wilson because of the fact that both she and her husband have appeared on the Whatever podcast which invalidates most of their arguments. That podcast says that they are calling out women yet the majority of the empanelled women are from OF which encourages men to look into their accounts. Her husband also uses very vulgar language that does not become an Orthodox Christian man and shows him as wildly undisciplined. The other reality is that in the current culture, neither men nor women should be engaged in the kind of online shaming culture that's become all too prevalent. Why? Because it has a tendency to cause individuals to engage in self-harm. The best thing you can do for that person is to pray for him or her and to encourage him or her to go to a priest, confess, repent, and do penance.
