@A_Colker @USATODAY People like you are the exact problem. You think because Trump called Democrats incompetent it’s ok to call him a Nazi (lie), a threat to democracy (lie), a rapist (lie), a pedo (lie), and think it’s ok to assassinate him. Do better.

This is another example showing how Barack Obama is one of the most divisive figures in American politics today. So many of our divisions were caused by the smug, demeaning and narrow-minded way he treats his opponents. Here, he pretends to not know the truth about the would-be assassin, although the facts of his left wing views were public hours before Obama’s tweet. It’s classic Obama - pretend to be conciliatory while he is the one who creates the divide. You would hope that Obama would condemn the left after the left tries to kill a President. But that’s too much to ask. Once again, Obama proves himself to be a classless divider of our country.
Barack Obama@BarackObama

Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.

We are inside the ballroom of the Hilton. One Service agent told me the shooter is confirmed dead. Agents swarmed the room within minutes of shots being heard, running down the main aisle. But because Cabinet officials are seated throughout the room, many of them remained on the floor, crouched under tables as the president was evacuated from stage.

You friggin 🤡. Wow she is dumb Blue states with 𝙕𝙀𝙍𝙊 Republican House seats: ⁣ – Massachusetts – Rhode Island – Vermont – New Hampshire – Hawaii – New Mexico – Connecticut – Delaware ⁣ Blue states with 𝙊𝙉𝙀 Republican House seat: – Maryland – Oregon – Maine ⁣ Blue states with just 2–5 GOP seats: – Colorado – Minnesota – Illinois – Virginia – New Jersey ⁣ And after that? It’s just California and New York carrying the load. So when Democrats start screaming about Texas “rigging” their districts… ⁣ Remember this: Democrats already gerrymandered themselves into oblivion. They’ve got almost 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭 to rig. ⁣ They packed their maps years ago — now they’re furious Republicans are finally 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤. The Left doesn’t hate gerrymandering. They hate losing at it.

Reporter: What do you make of Republicans saying that Virginia— AOC: Wah wah wah. We have asked Republicans for 10 years to ban partisan gerrymandering. And for 10 years, Republicans have said no. Republicans have fought for partisan gerrymanders across the United States of America. And these are the rules that they have set. And so if the Republican Party wanted to start this, they did this in North Carolina. They drew out three Democratic members of Congress in North Carolina. They did it in Texas. What they’re just mad at is that they have been accustomed to a Democratic Party that rolls over, doesn’t fight, and takes everything sitting down. And what they’re mad at right now is that we are here in a new day. And we have been asking the Democratic Party to stand up and fight, and now they did—and now the Republican Party doesn’t like the fact that they are fighting against someone who actually will stand up for the American people. So if Republicans decide that they would like to revisit a ban on partisan gerrymandering, I welcome them. We have the bill right here to end this all today. But they don’t want to, because they like pursuing and continuing to enact an unfair electoral landscape. And so we have an obligation to defend ourselves.

@mattyglesias @TheRickWilson Texas gerrymander resulted more evenly distributed seats than California with an independent commission. Somehow @mattyglesias says that was “disenfranchising” but a state that’s is nearly 50/50 going to 9-1 isn’t. Democrats lie and lie to themselves to justify their actions.

@nytimes A slippery slope towards more drug legalization. This move will pave the way for a future Democrat administration to take yet another step towards the full legalization of these drugs. This didn’t work for the Netherlands. It didn’t work for San Francisco. It won’t work here.

@phillgrooms It's no different than any other professional sport. Diehard fans are always small in number, and those are the ones who will go to a live match against a "minor league" team. Most other fans are going to hold out for the "professional" games only.

When St. Louis FC got record crowds in the Open Cup to see them face a MLS team, but no one came to the league games, I was annoyed. Now that we have a MLS team, and Open Cup matches get less interest, I’m even more annoyed. In both cases I feel that fans are missing out on something special, but maybe my obsession is incredibly niche…and unusual. I’ll call this a humble lament.

When I was going to Saint Louis FC games in Fenton they drew more than St. Louis City draws for the US Open Cup, which is less than ideal #AllForCITY

@coyotevsacmeftw @DaveSmith120579 @Angry_Staffer Al Franken was expendable. He was white cis male Jewish from a safe state (Minnesota). Could be easily replaced with someone with better demographic data and more dirt to use as leverage. He and Swalwell were sacrificed.

What the Artemis II astronauts did over the last 10 days was a testament to their bravery. And the fact that they traveled farther from Earth than anyone ever has, re-entered our atmosphere at more than 24,000 mph, and splashed down safely was a testament to human ingenuity. Thanks to everyone at @NASA for making this mission possible, and for taking us along for the ride.
