@TeslaLarry You can't drink your way to Starlink. Life needs to be tough. A lion does 30 seconds work then sits under a tree till so hungry he has to work again. Humans need to be driven by hunger to achieve, not drug fueled homelessness.

This is pure nightmare fuel. Identity theft of the past would be nothing compared to what vibe agents can do. Sending credentials is too obvious and for rookies. They could easily spread contaminations across ~/.claude, **/skills/*, or even just a PDF your agent visits periodically in /morning-brief. Your entire filesystem is the new distributed codebase. Every file that could go into context would add to the attack vector. Every text can be a base64 virus. In the new world of on-demand software, I try to minimize dependencies - people rarely need all the APIs supported in LiteLLM, might as well build a custom router with only what you need on the fly (which I did in one of my late-night claude sessions). Unfortunately, there is very little middleground between "pressing yes mindlessly for every edit" and "--dangerously-skip-permissions". There will be a full blooming industry for "de-vibing": dampening the slop and putting guardrails/accountability around agentic frameworks. They are the boring old, audited Software 1.0 that watches over the rebellious adolescents of Software 3.0. Claws need shells. Probably many layers of nested shells.

LiteLLM HAS BEEN COMPROMISED, DO NOT UPDATE. We just discovered that LiteLLM pypi release 1.82.8. It has been compromised, it contains litellm_init.pth with base64 encoded instructions to send all the credentials it can find to remote server + self-replicate. link below

@thejefflutz Because the US now has Venezuelan oil, and China doesn't, it appears its ONLY the EU who have a problem. Annnnnd we know the EU is refusing to fight the school-yard bully of Iran... so its the EU who will fail. Cowardice in = Cowardice out...

There’s a downside to being obstinate for too long. Ask China about mfg migration to Vietnam & India… The world will adjust over time & significantly reduce dependency on the Strait. Every supply chain readjusts. Their actions are creating longer term demand destruction.

Uber @Uber Today I witnessed quite a scene involving an Uber driver in downtown San Francisco near UCSF. Two women were waiting for their ride. The driver pulled up on the opposite side of the street. They were signaling for him to make a U-turn and pick them up where they were. It was clear one of the women had Parkinson’s or some kind of neurological condition—she was shaking noticeably and appeared to be the one trying to manage the ride on her phone (they were outside the Neurology building at UCSF). It wouldn't be proper for her to cross the street given her condition. I stepped in. I motioned for the driver to roll down his window and asked why he wouldn’t come around to pick them up. He claimed the woman was being disrespectful because she was gesturing at him. I pushed back: if you won’t even roll down your window, how exactly is she supposed to communicate? From there, it escalated into a shouting match. He was clearly offended by what he saw as “entitled” behavior (ironic since he was the one acting like a King), and didn’t appreciate me stepping in on behalf of his customers. I walked over to the women and suggested they cancel and call another Uber. But he wouldn’t release the ride—he just sat there. I told them not to get in the car with him, but they were already thinking the same thing. Honestly, someone like that shouldn’t be interacting with customers at all. And situations like this are exactly why services like Uber are vulnerable to autonomous rideshare like Tesla Robotaxi. Who need to interact with an asshole like this (correct word)? The whole thing was pretty disgusting. I hope they reported him, though I wouldn’t be surprised if nothing comes of it. I walked away pretty angry.

@thejefflutz Pretty well every one of the responses are thinking the same as me. When *fully* autonomous? 9% increase from virtually zero is SFA. As investors there gets to be a time that I want honest answers, because this is total BS. Is it political? Regulatory? Software????????????????

The pathetic ALP and Liberals are criticising One Nation for, get this, NOT telling their supporters how to vote their prefs. They think it's a dirty trick for a party to encourage their voters to take ownership of their preferences. Ridiculous. adelaidenow.com.au/news%2Fsouth-a…

My co-founder David Kuo has an investing rule that some of you may find to be peculiar. He never sells any stock he buys -- period. My latest article for Singapore’s financial newspaper, the Business Times. There are no exceptions or escape clauses. In simple terms, he buys, and he holds -- that’s it and that’s all.

@Xil_llix I pity the poor sucker who went "all in" on $TSLA expecting to become rich. The $1,000 per share during 2026 might now be $1,000 in 2040. We're just the cash cow for long term capex

As a $TSLA investor, I think it is wise to take a step back and do a full reset with our expectations in regards to our time horizon. We bought early for autonomy, some before us for just for BEVs. This new timeline of Optimus, SpaceX and xAI merger will take decades to unfold. Keep a significant portion of your shares until you can pass them to your kids and grandkids.

EDS is an excellent indicator for real life. When my husband's larynx cancer diagnosis came up, it was the natural thing to go to the local Santa Barbara cancer center. First visit with the radiology oncologist, we explain that the daily drive home after treatment won't be an issue, we have a Tesla with FSD. He starts abundantly cursing on Elon. Red flag, but ignorant we were to not leave then. 3 sessions later it became blatantly clear that this doctor was not for us. He lacked all respect for our input and had draconian measures lined up that proved to be unnecessary. Thanks to the finest friends here in the X community, we got referred to St John's in Santa Monica, with the best medical team we could dream of and no Tesla haters. The treatment included driving 6,000 miles in 7 weeks, all on FSD. And it did not include feeding tube and other barbaric details. Lesson learned: no room for Elon haters in our lives.
