I served in the U.S. Navy for nearly 10 years during the Global War on Terror and as a member of the House Armed Services Committee in Congress. 

I know how important it is to go into any military action prepared and with a plan. 

But instead of taking decisive steps to protect American citizens abroad, this administration was slow to provide proactive notifications or adjust travel warnings until many were already in a dangerous situation.

This lack of clear, early communication has left many families stranded, frustrated, and potentially in danger.

@gusciora You need to repair all the roads. Get rid of Abandon Houses and Make the State Capitol worth coming to see. Question: Did you ever watch a game show and the person won a trip to Trenton NJ. NO. Why: Because it's worn down to nothing. Ask the stupid Gov. for assist.

@NJSP You really need to set up stops along the highways and ticket everyone with snow on the roof of their cars and trucks. How lazy these people are. Maybe they will learn if they get tickets. RT. 295, 195, 129. 130, 78, and so on.

A quick moving system will bring snow to the area early Wednesday morning, primarily for areas near/north of the I-78 corridor. While accumulations will be on the lower side (generally 1-3", less south of I-78), the timing may lead to slick conditions during the morning commute.

@theWeatherboy I mentioned that yesterday. The GFS was finally right.

Once the snowflakes stop flying, meteorologists will need to dive in to see why the GFS was so right while the ECMWF was so wrong in the days leading up to the Blizzard of 2026.

@GovSherrillNJ @NJGov If you really want people off the road you have to issue a travel ban for everybody cuz nobody else is really going to listen.

NEWS: In preparation for the severe winter storm, I am declaring a State of Emergency across all 21 counties in New Jersey – effective at 12:00 PM on Sunday, February 22.    I urge New Jerseyans to use caution, stay off the roads, and follow all safety protocols during the storm.
