This is what I think President Cantwell is strongly considering for Wazzu (Free Article). After some resistance, I’m all for it now. A complete restructuring of how WSU does business on the Athletic Department side. It has been floated as “3 person AD team” but this is a big possibility on what Huron would be advising her on… and why it’s taking almost 6 months to pull the trigger on. I don’t see another reason we would wait so long to announce an AD. It’s unprecedented. Moving the Athletic Department off the University books…into a LLC “Affiliated Non Profit”. An entire new way of running things to adapt to the new environment of college sports. Some schools already have blazed the trail. Is it safe thou? It would allow big donors to step forward and have more skin in the game as far as control goes. It hasn’t really been mentioned by anyone reporting on the Cougs. @WSUCougars @WSUCougarFB @WSUCougarsMBB

This is crazy stuff. The schools that are rocking it right now have a solid leader at the helm of their Athletic Program that energizes the fan base. Jermiah Dickey (BSU), Jared Mosley (TxSt), Leon Costello (MtSt)... Cantwell has been rockin it so far, but this makes me a little nervous.

I’m about to get married, and my fiancé knows I have an inheritance that was left to me by my grandparents. It’s in my name only, and I’ve been saving it for years. Now he’s saying that before we get married, I should put the entire inheritance into a joint account so we can “start fresh together,” or he doesn’t think we should go through with the wedding. @gocougs123 I think we don’t have a person like a Bill Moos that has a depth of experience, maturity, vision and personality at this time. Better to have a few great people that specialize and work together until & if a high end AD talent emerges and we better understand the new world.

I think Cantwell has done a ton of really good stuff over her first year but I am not sure about this one. I think there is something to be said for having a strong leader at the top of the athletic department. I will trust the vision tho

I wouldn't call a citizen giving a screenshot of a group chat to someone in the U.S. gov involved in conducting an investigation a leak. Maybe a betrayal of trust. But that person in gov (appears to be Joe Kent) giving it to a podcaster to publish on her show, is certainly a leak.

@WazzuBound Better to hire slow and fire fast. I like the interim AD but have some reservations due to his experience and I didn’t see him “working the room” at the Seattle CAF event.

@Carolann1954D @HustleBitch_ Great post- my mother is 9 years younger than my step father who always presented younger. Now she’s an active 80 and he’s 89- slowed down massively and she resents it. 😕 Imagine 33 years different!

They look great together. May not make a difference right now, however, if you want to get realistic, When she turns 38 or 40, she will see a different man. I married a man 10 years older than me, which to me is not that much...however, 71 and 81 are our ages...He is the same man I married, but old age does change a person..he is showing signs of dementia, in his case, he gets angry very easily. He also at the next moment, gets teary eyed, then he will get frustrated at the world. I only get glimpses of the man he was when we married. I know he is the same man. It is very difficult to live with. Perhaps her man won't be like that. I hope not, but when she is 40 he will be 81. I pray she has the love for him so that she will be able to handle it.

We've been tracking Tesla FSD across the real fleet for a while now. Real telemetry from many many vehicles. Adoption, driving quality, subscription economics, fleet miles -- the whole picture. The cumulative FSD mileage is approaching a number that makes every other autonomous driving program on earth look like a science project. And there's a quality gap between FSD versions that's not incremental -- v14 is a fundamentally different product than v12. People aren't testing it anymore. They're using it as their default way to drive. I'll be sharing more of what we're seeing this week and a lot more over the months to come. Our hope is to use real data to tell the real story.
