@DEEGILES0410 @PainNewsNetwork @StanfordMed In our relatively brief experience, the referring physicians who send their patients for this clinical trial are finding it helpful and use the data to help make management decisions that have significantly helped a subset of patients thus far.

@life_is_art___ @PainNewsNetwork @StanfordMed Thank you for your comment. As a Radiologist, I have seen how MRIs in particular have been misleading and even detrimental to those suffering from chronic pain. I am hopeful this PET/MRI technique will get us closer to an accurate representation of one's pain.

@PainNewsNetwork @StanfordMed And once we get congress/states to do a comprehensive dr/pain patient protection bill, that should really help with the “we have to see it” diagnoses. This already happens (“we won’t prescribe without scans”), so I’d hope this won’t make that worse.

@AngieSanchezss @PainNewsNetwork @StanfordMed Understand your frustration. I can only hope the tech we are building will improve the lives of chronic pain patients. I also hope patient experiences and advocacy groups will push insurance companies to reimburse this procedure.

@PainNewsNetwork @StanfordMed I have breast cancer. The ins co hardly approves a breast MRI much less a PET scan looking for tumor. This is another way of keeping us from getting our medicine that works, giving surgeons more money to perform procedures that may not work. Not a guinea pig!

@NickCarlin6 @PainNewsNetwork @StanfordMed Understand your feelings regarding imaging. I agree that you can't rely solely on imaging. We are looking at pain-relevant molecules with this tech and I'm hopeful this will be better than what's out there.
