🐾 Left behind but not forgotten Henderson County, North Carolina — Pamela Lopez, 24, and William Sanders, 26, are accused of leaving two dogs behind when they moved out of their home. Deputies say the dogs were abandoned inside the house for nearly two weeks. They say they found them looking out the window and severely underweight before being rescued and taken to Henderson County Animal Services. Thankfully, there is a hopeful update. After just one week of care, the dogs have already gained nearly 10 pounds and are beginning to recover. Their story is a reminder that even after terrible neglect, animals can bounce back when someone steps in to help. 🐶❤️

My dad & I had my mom admitted to the hospital. Her lab values were a mess due to her CKD. She takes Oxycodone for chronic pain & the MD wanted to change her oxycodone…to Suboxone. I said—no way. This is why pts need advocates. Switching pain meds would have been a disaster.

I am in tears as I write this. The vet just called . They got him elevated and he did good overnight. He was up moving around this morning. Dic went to get his meds. And went back in. He had passed. He was the best boy ever from the time I saved him. The perfect boy. He never had not one application. I saved him and his entire family from getting shot in Seguin Tx in 2019. All of his family found furever homes. He was part of my pack. He will be cremated. And join Jazzy and the rest of the pack that have crossed. I have to tell the dogs he's not coming back. He had severe diabetes. And his kidneys had shut down.

@DavidESmitty I get it, but 6 mo ago I pushed when my dog got sick, non stop. I nvr sleep anyways, & now im in bed for past 2 mo so weak, & I have surgery soon & was 🙏🏼2b stronger. PEM is real & this time I messed up. Go easy, its not worth it.

@ASanchezs65 Thank you. Saturday I slept like a corpse until 3;30 PM. I don't want to be up all night, and do the same thing on Sunday. But, here we are. Maybe I should not fight it and just REST while I am able. But, there is so much to do, so little time. We have LIVES to save!

OK I went to the store for a few things, bathed the dog, put his blanket in the washer, walked and fed him, and now I need a nap before evening chores and taking a shower. And need to trim my hair and shave and get all purdy. And I need to wash the bedding, make the bed back up, do some packing of stuff in the closet floor that I never use and put it into under-bed storage, try to get my desk cleaned off so I can set it up to begin using it for my video Substack series that is in the works. Need to purchase a "docking station" for the monitor and laptop since mine disappeared during the move, take some video editing courses (once I identify which software I will be using and that is all on Substack?). Bottom line is my ass is completely whooped, and I am supposed to be looking for work to do so that I can generate income, AND have a million projects to do so that we can STOP the state-sanctioned pain patient torture and mass murder program. Prayers appreciated.
