The Astor family was founded by John Jacob Astor (1763–1848), a German immigrant who built America's first great fortune through the fur trade monopoly and then buying up cheap Manhattan farmland that exploded in value as NYC grew. He died the richest man in the US, worth ~$20M (equivalent to billions today). His descendants expanded into real estate, society, hotels (Waldorf-Astoria), and UK aristocracy. Bitcoiners study them for the blueprint: acquire scarce, productive hard assets early, hold long-term, and let compounding do the work—sound money principles in action.

@lachlanscards While I think Bitcoin lending is in its infancy and will yet still grow massively, there are reputable companies out there doing Bitcoin backed mortgages. @PeoplesReserve is probably the front runner that comes to my mind.

On paper, hodling is easy. Buy Bitcoin. Store it safely. Wait. Don't sell. In practice, hodling is psychological warfare. Every crash tests your resolve. Every rally tempts you to sell. Every friend who got rich trading makes you feel stupid for sitting still. Hodling Bitcoin is a psychological battle. -Bitcoin One Million @dotkrueger

You could easily borrow against BTC to purchase other assets that do produce immediate cash flow. The reality is people collect rents to pay off the real estate so they can what? Borrow against that real estate to buy other assets Same as Bitcoin. Bitcoin is superior to real estate though

@BitcoinBond_007 But people sell real estate they even rent it out to make a buck. How does even holding five Bitcoin help anything? Not that I have that many or will.

@lachlanscards Why sell a super asset for a broken one like fiat? You keep the apex asset and as the market matures, products will mature as well, allowing you to borrow against it without selling it and without paying tax, just like real estate now.

Sir Issac Newton, Alexander Flemming and James Watt may all have to move aside to make way for another name in the pantheon of Great British inventors: Adam Black. According to an exhaustive investigation published by the New York Times today, the mystery of who created Bitcoin appears to have been solved. All the signs point to a relatively obscure British computer programmer. If it turns out to be true, Britain should be proud of giving the world its digital currency. ✍️ Matthew Lynn Article | spectator.com/article/is-bit…

Bitcoin’s founder, Satoshi Nakamoto, has remained hidden for 17 years. A trail of clues — and a year of digging by our reporter, John Carreyrou — led us to a 55-year-old computer scientist in El Salvador named Adam Back. nyti.ms/4bXWC3V

@DrKrisEdward Hey, knock out that debt. Super smart as your mental health is ultra important, and if you are letting yourself drown in that, your thoughts are drowning in it too, making everything else feel irrelevant. Keep up the good work!

@BitcoinBond_007 To be honest I am paying down debt and no I don't buy Bitcoin. Yes it's the future but my mental health requires I discharge some of my debts. I use STRC for savings and use the dividends to help off debts. Stupid retail investor here.
