Can we talk about how broken "saving money" is? I watch women I love put $200, $500, $1000 a month into savings accounts. Year after year. By the time they need it — for the house, the kids, the rest day they earned — that money buys less than the day they put it in. They didn't fail. The system did. I'm so over watching women play a game that has been rigged against them since 1971. 0.1111 is what I tell them about now. A cap nobody can move. A goal that compounds instead of shrinks. Tell me I'm not the only one who thinks about this too much.

Today would have been Hal Finney's 70th birthday. Finney was the first person other than Satoshi to run Bitcoin's software. On January 12, 2009, he received the first peer-to-peer bitcoin transaction ever made: 10 BTC from Satoshi. His tweet from the day before: "Running bitcoin." When the whitepaper dropped in 2008, most cryptographers ignored it. Finney was one of the few who immediately saw what it could become. He had already spent years building the tools that laid the groundwork, including the first reusable proof-of-work system in 2004. He was diagnosed with ALS the same year Bitcoin launched. He kept writing code from a wheelchair using eye-tracking software until he couldn't. Happy birthday, Hal.

Raise a glass to @halfin! Today would have been Hal’s 70th birthday. Hal Finney is one of the most important cypherpunks in the history of Bitcoin. When the whitepaper was published, most people ignored it. Hal Finney was the one of the few cryptographers who believed in it.

Standing up in Parliament today, listening to these pathetic MPs jeer and insult me when I voice serious concerns that millions of British women are feeling across the country, I felt so ashamed to sit in that building with those people. This is not complicated. Countless foreign men from cultures and religions which treat women like shit are now roaming our streets - whether they arrived legally or illegally, the point remains. Wilfully imported by Conservative, Labour and Reform politicians. All of them have blood on their hands. Afghans, Somalians, Albanians, Sudanese, Pakistanis, Eritreans. The importation list goes on and on… They drink, they loiter, they spit, they intimidate, they harass. They make life hell for so many women and girls across Britain. It is NOT normal. Do not accept it as normal. These are our towns, and I want them back. I feel very grateful that there is now a political party with the balls to not only outline the problem, but the determination to actually do something about it. That party is Restore Britain. We are going to take our country back. I have never felt more determined.
