I continue to follow the situation in the Middle East with dismay. Like other regions of the world, it is torn apart by war and violence. We cannot remain silent in the face of the suffering of so many defenseless victims of these conflicts. What wounds them wounds all of humanity. The death and pain caused by these wars is a scandal for the entire human family and a cry that rises to God!

300,000 ballots mailed out to dead people every election. Where do they go? Is it IMPOSSIBLE for the ballot to be filled out and returned as if by the dead person? How would this be caught? Registered voter returns ballot with last 4 Social Security digits, address, signature. What will flag this as an illegal vote? The fact is, there is nothing that will catch it.

So...300,000 people who were on the rolls died. And they remained on the rolls. And that's a scandal? Were they supposed to remove themselves post-death? Fair to assume they won't be showing up on election day.

In under an hour I have gotten so annoyed by loud liars that I decide to walk to where I vote in rural Alaska in the snow to prove a point, found my passport, put on my boots, got a coffee, fallen on my butt, collected myself, brushed off the snow, and still walked from my front door to the election office on the island in under three minutes. Lisa Murkowski is a liar.

I agree. People throwing themselves in front of moving vehicles? There should be absolutely no requirement to brake for them. People glue themselves to pavement?
