The solution is @SenSteveChan’s bill banning shelters within 500 feet of transit facilities, that I mentioned in the caption. Democrats won’t even bring it to a vote. Republicans are putting forward solutions, and Democrats are blocking them. The responsibility for this is on YOU.

Under James’ tenure as Attorney General, crime has increased 26% in the state of New York. Her refusal to enforce the law has made our streets less safe, resulting in a mass exodus of New Yorkers leaving the state, which has led to fewer people but more crime. This election is a choice. A choice between competence and politicization, between the broken status quo and a new direction on public safety, and a between a career politician and a career prosecutor who has locked up the worst of the worst. New York needs a prosecutor in charge who is focused on public safety. If New York isn't safe, nothing else matters. Join us: sarithafornewyork.com

Last week, a female corrections officer was SLASHED in the face by an inmate. LEO at Rikers are routinely SPAT ON, ASSAULTED and STABBED. At times, inmates will even throw their own urine and feces at guards–this happened OVER 260 TIMES last year, actually. @nycmayor please explain how you will “responsibly” let such “UPSTANDING” citizens back onto our streets while our law enforcement is dwindling? @NYCCOBA1

We are seeing nonstop disturbing incidents of antisemitism and hate in our city, and too often the perpetrators are able to hide behind their age to avoid real accountability. That’s why I introduced Assembly Bill A10124, legislation that prohibits youthful offender status for individuals convicted of a hate crime under New York law. Hate crimes are serious offenses, and those who commit them must be held accountable, regardless of their age.

People were chased after and beaten in the street by these terrorists screaming “Zionist” as they attacked them. Now we learn that officers responding to the attempted terrorist attack at Gracie Mansion believed dozens of people could have been killed. And while all of this is happening, Mamdani and the Democrats continue to demonize the NYPD and pander to the same extremist mobs spreading antisemitism and chaos in our city. This is the political climate the modern Democratic Party has created. This the Democratic Party's message for this year's election: You can attack and injure our police officers. You can attack and injure Jews. You can commit acts of terrorism in the heart of our city. And the Democratic Party will stand with you and have your back, unequivocally. Our officers risk their lives to stop violence while Democrats smear them and empower the very people threatening public safety. A political party that tolerates antisemitism, excuses extremist violence, and undermines law enforcement is unfit to govern.

Dozens Could’ve Died’: NYPD Officers Push Back on Media Coverage of Gracie Mansion Attack :Exclusive I spoke with multiple law enforcement sources who were at Gracie Mansion during yesterday’s attempted terrorist attack. Officers described a chaotic and terrifying scene, saying they feared they might not make it home. Some tried to push protesters out of harm’s way, but not everyone complied. Several sources also expressed frustration with the media coverage, saying it downplays the severity of what happened. Dozens could have been injured or killed, they stressed, yet some outlets are spinning it as minor or routine. NYPD sources additionally complained about journalists and photographers at the scene. They said they tried to push media personnel back for safety, but some ignored instructions. Officers told me they’re growing exhausted and frustrated by the job, especially when facing such life-threatening situations. One officer mentioned he was fortunate to make it home safely to his family. By @LeeroyPress

100% #GOTV Elections have consequences. New Yorkers cannot leave it to chance. We have elections coming up – your vote or choosing not to vote will determine our shared future. Congestion Pricing is a tax on the working class and retirees that for many reasons may have to travel south of 59th Street in the borough of Manhattan. #Vote #GOP
Frank Morano@frankmorano

Wrong decision. Congestion pricing is a cash grab that punishes working New Yorkers and outer-borough communities while rewarding the MTA’s incompetence. If we want it gone, there’s only 1 real path forward: elect a Governor who will turn the cameras off. gothamist.com/news/federal-j…

It was an honor to address the members of the Donald J. Trump Republican Club last night. Thank you to Jimmy Wagner for the opportunity and for such a warm welcome. I’m grateful for the energy, support, and commitment in that room. Together, we’ll keep fighting for our values and for our community. 🇺🇸

While many of Zohran Mamdani’s former cheerleaders now seem shocked by his radical policy agenda, I’m not surprised. Public safety is too serious an issue for our city to be used as a testing ground for socialist theories. If Mamdani had faced this level of backlash from his own side last fall, we wouldn’t be in this position today. I’m glad to see some common sense emerging from the other side of the aisle, but in this case, it’s too little, too late.

I’m out here at Avenue T and East 2nd Street because the crosswalks in Southern Brooklyn are still buried. I’m disappointed. I’m angry. Mayor Mamdani has failed to get this city where it needs to be after this storm. But if City Hall won’t act, we will. I’m calling on every able-bodied person in our district: take 20 minutes. Grab a shovel. Clear a crosswalk near you. This is our neighborhood. We take care of our own.

Tonight, Guardian Angel patrols are out assisting those struggling to find shelter in the freezing cold. The city spends billions on DHS, yet shelters remain overcrowded and many are unfortunately unsafe. Because of this, too many people refuse to go inside. Still, no one should be left without warmth or help. Tonight, the Angels rescued an intoxicated individual who was becoming unresponsive. Members stayed with him, keeping him alert and safe until EMS arrived. We cannot express enough gratitude for the brave EMS, EMTs, and NYPD who respond every day and night to save lives. Thank you to all of our first responders.

Another example of bad behavior that has become normalized through legalized anarchy.  To treat Police Officers like this is disgusting.  When there are no consequences to bad actors and their actions - barbarism becomes normalized.  #RespectLawEnforcement #BackTheBlue If government leaders in power don’t have the will to act hopefully #CivilSociety responses can have enough impact on those who control the State of New York. Pleas #GOTV elections have consequences.

Unreal. NYPD officers are out in a historic blizzard keeping this city safe, and the Democrat Mayor Mamdani’s response is to crack jokes. After years of Mamdani and the Democrats pushing “defund the police,” slashing units, and vilifying cops, they fostered a culture of hatred and violence toward our law enforcement, and now they are celebrating it and joking about it. This isn’t funny. It’s weak, unserious leadership, putting our police officers and all New Yorkers in harm's way. New Yorkers deserve leaders who back the NYPD, not a Mayor and a party that undermine them and laugh it off.
Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani@NYCMayor

I’ve seen the videos of kids throwing snowballs at NYPD officers in Washington Square Park. Officers, like all city workers, have been out in a historic blizzard, keeping New Yorkers safe and cars moving. Treat them with respect. If anyone’s catching a snowball, it’s me.

I’ve been out in my district in Southern Brooklyn today. The conditions are not where they need to be. It has just stopped snowing minutes ago. Sidewalks are still blanketed in snow. Crosswalks are blocked. Streets remain difficult to navigate. Yet Mayor Mamdani has decided to reopen schools tomorrow. That is a reckless decision. Parents should not be forced to send their children out into unsafe conditions because City Hall wants to pretend everything is fine. Our kids’ safety should never take a back seat to Mayor Mamdani’s ego. I urge him to reconsider this decision immediately and put the safety of our families first.
