It’s incredible to me that we allow a nation committing Genocide, whose leaders talk openly of Ethnic Cleansing, whose army routinely targets and murders children, aid workers and journalists - are allowed to take part in something like Eurovision.
This is culture washing a nation committing crimes against humanity - its leader is wanted as a war criminal…..FFS. Meanwhile Israel’s representative in this show is found to be breaking the rules by lobbying for votes.

@cv_cev @jneill @wesstreeting He does but he won’t. Of all people who have occupied the position of Secretary of State for Health and Social Care since the start of the Covid pandemic (and there have been a lot) @wesstreeting has been the worst. And that’s saying something. @JoshFG

A reminder that high grade face masks 😷, worn properly, are important for workers, coronavirus or no coronavirus

I'm soon going to be taking the funeral of a kitchen fitter who died from an industrial disease that you can avoid simply by wearing a mask. Before the pandemic, he used to wear a mask when working. In 2022 he stopped.

had a 60+ guy in our loft full of fibreglass insulation last week, didn't have any respiratory PPE + couldn't be persuaded to let us give him a mask (like we were wearing)—spent the next hour coughing constantly + doubled over a few times. generational failure in workers rights.

The long term death toll from the demonization of PPE is going to be astronomical

Yep. It’s not rocket science.
If there’s a severe contagious disease outbreak on a ship, you keep them on that ship!
Even after all the incompetence over the past 6 years, I never thought they’d fly passengers home without infection control and do VOLUNTARY quarantine... 🤯

A French infectious disease specialist on the passengers of the "MV Hondius", an outbreak of the Hantavirus: "On an epidemiological level, the ideal would have been to confine them on the boat".

@WHO @ECDC_EU If we don’t know the physical mechanism of transmission for a high-consequence pathogen the only scientifically honest posture is to admit it & implement maximum precaution.
Until we cure "closecontactitis”-thanks @EvonneTCurran, vocabulary will dictate policy instead of science

@nebriefing @SiOldridge @ChrisGPackham Breathing clean indoor air needs to be prioritised and normalized as much as drinking clean water. You still have time to (please) apprise later #NEBuk briefings of this smartairfilters.com/uk/en/product/…
