Almost unbelievable forecast from tonight’s European model it has trended hotter. We see 32C/90F daily between this Sunday and next Tuesday in London area.
Hard to believe we just experienced coolest mid May period in 15 years and now we look to see a historic heatwave. The change is violent.

Doesn’t mean the country is about to melt into a boiling North Sea.
The graphics are a scare tactic. It’s well documented that news/weather agencies are using “scary” colours to report weather that is normal but unseasonable.

British-owned beef giant CPC has been granted a permit to poison and kill 20,000 native galahs and little corellas at one of their vast cattle stations in the NT, Australia.
In its permit application, CPC admits its practices created the problem: “grain production, on-site storage, and cattle feeding have provided an artificial food source.”
Ornithologist Dr Lilleyman was "shocked" to learn of the NT government's decision to grant the permit.
She said that Birdlife Australia is concerned about the potential for secondary poisoning of non-target species occurring close to "an internationally significant wetland".
CPC has ten cattle stations on about 9 million acres. They supply cattle and beef to Asian markets, domestic feedlots and processors, and export live cattle.
The company is owned by Guy and Julia Hands through the Hands Family Office. They live in Guernsey after leaving England to avoid UK tax.
CPC has also applied for massive water licenses for irrigation projects to grow grain sorghum and other crops which will inevitably attract even more birds.
So what happens then? Even wider-scale poisoning of native wildlife?

It's Methane not just carbon, and yes methane is a greenhouse gas that traps heat on the planet and makes it worse.
Methane is more potent and traps more heat than CO2, which would come from the grass decaying naturally.

@estrogenyum @OneFeIISwoop Same. I'm 'pescatarian when I leave the house', as in if there is no decent vegan option at a restaurant I'll choose the vegetarian or last resort fish. At home I'm 98% plant-based, except honey and mussels. I can totally stay consistent this way

Ive been pescatarian for 3 years because thats what works for me, and ive been very successful with it, I rarely even eat fish its just on occasion

@estrogenyum @OneFeIISwoop I was vego for 2 years. I fainted in the shower. Then I went pescatarian for 4 years. Then I had a health scare.
Now I have meat 1-2x a week and take supplements. Every other meal I choose not to eat meat saves that many animals and it's easier on me & to maintain consistently.
