@Martyupnorth Referendum petitions aren’t democracy in its simplest form. Much simpler if the conservatives would run on separatism, try to get elected while making that a staple of their platform, with an explicit plan for how to accomplish it.

I've been seriously harassed 4 times while collecting signatures. One idiot even felt justified to drive past us on a gravel road doing 70km/hr and spitting rocks at us. The "citizens initiative" (AKA the referendum petition) is democracy in its simplest form. It's legal, ethical, moral, transparent and non-violent. Harassing canvassers is illegal, and politicians need to do more to stop this from happening. In her address to the province two nights ago, Smith acknowledged that this was happening, but didn't go far enough as far as I'm concerned. She needs to call out people like Premier Eby of BC, and former Alberta Premier Jason Kenney, for calling us traitors. We are the furthest thing from traitors. We are Albertans, tired of 100 years of abuse from Ottawa and eastern Canada, and we want out of this failed experiment called "Confederation". We want to protect our land and save our culture.

@KILLTOPARTY No one is the problem. She needs to be honest early. He needs to understand that his expectations are unreasonable long-term for most women. They need to compromise or break up.
