The first two weeks of April is the only time I seriously consider full retirement. I am really getting sick of the calls, revisiting the same returns again and again, forcing me to work past 4/15. Make me an offer.

We have a good intake form that we use for prospective clients. I just used Claude to create an even better one and make it fillable and relevant to a specific client's situation based on our Discovery call. Claude updated it and reformatted it in 5 seconds. Saved me an hour.

@TKopelman @TKopelman gets even better if the person is self employed using a Solo401k and the pretax contributions get them below the QBI phaseout range. I don’t know the exact math, but I’m guessing the benefit of today’s tax rate + full QBI deduction far outweighs the retirement tax rate

Simple 401(k) Example Pre-Tax 401(k): • Single person with $400K taxable income (after standard deduction) • Contributes $20k to 401(k) • Taxable income drops to $380K • Tax savings = $20K × 35% (top marginal rate) = $7,000 federal tax savings today. Then you will pay taxes in the future. Roth 401(k): • Same person, same income, contributes $20k to Roth 401(k) • Taxable income stays at $400K • No tax savings today, but investments grow tax-free forever Pre-tax 401(k) saves money today. Roth 401(k) does not save money today, but then you pay no taxes later Both make sense in different situations

@EricSpitz @money_cruncher Same here. Currently have a 529 and UTMA account for all 3 kids born before 1/1/25. Trying to figure out why I should/shouldn’t do this.

If I already have kids born before 2025 then I don’t qualify for the $1k. What is the benefit of using this account vs opening a costodial brokerage account? Currently I’m contributing with after tax money and they’ll be taxed at long term cap gains. Is there a benefit I’m missing?

I’m just a girl, standing here, raking in requests for tax work for high net worth individuals and finding no one who wants to connect to do the tax work. Am I gonna be talked into saying yes to tax work? 🤨

Philip Rivers is back. Patriots have 11 wins. Cowboys are average. Joe Flacco is slinging it. There is drama in Philly. Matthew Stafford is a stud. Seahawks defense is nasty. Aaron Rodgers is the 4-seed. Browns and Raiders are eliminated. Your childhood ain’t over yet.

Tom Brady should be the quarterback of team USA flag football in the 2028 Olympics. One last accomplishment for the greatest of all time. And that 12 USA jersey would be sick.

Is anyone aware of a CPA owned RIA that is serving as an aggregator or Turn Key Asset Mgmt Provider(TAMP) for other CPAs to get into wealth mgmt? There used to be several but they've all been bought out/merged with larger RIAs targeting all advisors.
