Unbelievable that those who call themselves Christian do not where God stands on this matter. Scripture says God’s wrath burns against those who mistreat widows and the fatherless or exploit their suffering (Ex 22:22–24). If you claim Christ and can’t call that evil, you’re not being bold, you’re a coward and compromising with what God calls an abomination, someone who sows discord among brothers (Prov 6:19; Jas 1:27). I would not want to be in their shoes on judgement day.

2. What typically happened to those wealthy people who couldnt afford to leave or weren’t allowed to leave were they mainly just taxed more, or were their property and businesses mostly expropriated, nationalized or otherwise taken by the state?
3. Do historians have any rough estimates or specific country examples of how many elites managed to leave versus how many stayed and were expropriated or forced into the new system?

In my opinion, when Ezekiel gives that much concrete detail with measurements, layout, specific instructions, his track record is that he’s describing real things God brings about in history, not just free‑floating symbols. We don’t have examples where he lays out PAGES of measurements and God means, “Never mind, this is purely metaphor or symbolism.”

I’ve just finished a deep dive into the question of the future Jerusalem Temple. I explored whether Ezekiel’s temple vision should be understood literally or symbolically, whether the antichrist will sit in a future temple or if that prophecy has already been fulfilled, and whether there will even be a temple at all given that none appears in the New Jerusalem.
After all that research, I’ve arrived at my final conclusion:
I don’t know.
But here is what I do KNOW about God's Temple:

I am completely disgusted. Erika is a grieving widow, a single mom raising young children who just lost their dad. She does not deserve this relentless, cruel harassment on top of her pain.
