As a member of the Utah House of Representatives, @DougOwensUtah has worked tirelessly to protect and secure the future of the Great Salt Lake. I’m proud to have his support on this campaign as we work to represent Utahns in Congress once again—and I look forward to partnering with him to protect and preserve the lake for future generations.

Yes, Trump is woven from the same cloth as Churchill. A failure.
**High-level analysis: Why Churchill was a loser**
Churchill is mythologized for 1940 ("we shall fight on the beaches"), but that single year of defiance masks a career defined by catastrophic failure, imperial delusion, and human cost.
**1. Strategic incompetence on a grand scale**
- **Gallipoli (1915)**: As First Lord of the Admiralty, he personally championed the Dardanelles campaign. It was a disaster — 250,000+ Allied casualties, zero strategic gain, Ottoman Empire stayed in the war, and it nearly ended his career. Classic Churchill: bold idea, terrible execution, someone else pays the price.
- **WWII Mediterranean obsession**: He delayed the cross-Channel invasion for years, pushing the disastrous Italian campaign ("soft underbelly") that turned into a meat grinder. This allowed Stalin to swallow half of Europe while Western forces bled in Italy and North Africa.
**2. The Bengal Famine (1943)**
This is the darkest stain. Under Churchill’s direct oversight as Prime Minister, 2.5–3 million Indians died in Bengal. He diverted food ships away from India, opposed relief efforts, and made explicitly racist remarks ("I hate Indians. They are a beastly people with a beastly religion"). He prioritized stockpiles for Britain and Greece while Indians starved. This wasn’t incompetence — it was deliberate policy rooted in imperial contempt.
**3. Imperial die-hard who lost the empire anyway**
He fought tooth-and-nail against Indian independence, called Gandhi a "half-naked fakir," and wanted to keep Britain’s colonies by force after the war. Result? Britain lost the empire faster and more humiliatingly than if he had managed the transition. His "we shall never surrender" rhetoric applied to keeping brown people under British rule.
**4. Post-war rejection**
Despite "winning" the war, the British people threw him out in a landslide in 1945. They wanted a welfare state and peace, not more Churchillian bombast and empire nostalgia. He was out of touch with the country he claimed to embody.
**Bottom line**
Churchill was a romantic 19th-century imperialist born into the wrong century. He had one great moment in 1940 when the situation perfectly matched his personality (defiant oratory against overwhelming odds). Everything else — Gallipoli, Bengal, delaying D-Day, clinging to empire — was costly failure dressed up as greatness.
He didn’t "save" Britain so much as Britain survived *in spite of* many of his decisions. The "greatest Briton" myth is postwar propaganda. In reality, he was a brilliant speaker and a reckless, often disastrous leader whose body count and policy failures far outweigh the single heroic chapter.
That’s why serious historians call him a loser with good PR.

Victor Davis Hanson Puts Iran Operation Into Historic Perspective – Compares Trump to Churchill (VIDEO)

We signed on to a clown show run by a grifter, general, a madman who today bragged to Japan's PM about "nuking Iran" like it's a casual Tuesday threat.
No more wars - a litany of campaign lies. His entourage's grifted hundreds of millions through crypto rug pulls, inside drone and nuclear facility deals, he slapped his name on Washington landmarks, and openly defends donors named in the Epstein files.
This isn't leadership. It's a grift wrapped in a flag.
Impeach the president!

Victor Davis Hanson draws an uncanny comparison between President Trump and Winston Churchill — two leaders warning about a growing threat while the world refuses to listen.
Hanson said that for 47 years, every U.S. president promised to deal with Iran, but Trump is the first one to actually do it.
HANSON: “In 1939 Churchill had warned everybody about the threat of fascism on the continent…nobody listened to him.”
“Then after the war broke out, nobody called on him and then finally he came in and from May 10th of 1940 he was saying to everybody, these people want to take over the continent.”
“He was the voice in the wilderness.”
“That’s what Trump is trying to do, trying to say to the American Democratic party, what’s left of it, you don’t understand what’s going on here.”
“You Europeans don’t understand, you people in the Middle East don’t fully understand what this regime is about.”
“When people say we did not have an imminent threat, we didn’t have an imminent threat when they took our hostages, when they blew up our barracks.”
“Nobody said we better attack Iran because we need an imminent threat when they blew up our embassy, they always acted spontaneously with surprises and we never knew what they were going to do.”
“The idea you have to have a telegraphed imminent threat, it’s not the nature of that regime.”
“It’s lying, disguise and dissimulation. That’s their pattern for the last 47 years.”
“But nobody’s taken them seriously.”
“Every president’s said we’re going to deal with this, all seven of them and all seven did not.”
“And then all seven of them when they got out of office said I regret that I didn’t”
“He’s the first one that warned the world and said he’s not going to be one of those presidents.”

🚨🇺🇸 A second Marine amphibious group is now heading to the Middle East.
The USS Boxer, USS Comstock, and USS Portland carrying the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit just departed the west coast.
That's 4,400+ Marines on two amphibious groups converging on the Gulf simultaneously.

UAE JUST WENT TO ZERO. NO ONE IS F*CKING READY FOR THIS.
The UAE — third biggest OPEC producer — just announced its oil and gas production is at ZERO.
This is not a headline from a movie.
Fujairah terminal: shut down.
Shah gas field: suspended after drone attack.
Hormuz: 20 million barrels a day stuck.
Your gas prices are up 20%. Europe's diesel doubled.
The world just lost another pillar of energy.
And this is still Week 3.

IRAN JUST TOLD TRUMP: GUARANTEE YOU'LL NEVER ATTACK US AGAIN OR THIS WAR NEVER ENDS
Not a ceasefire.
Not a deal.
A permanent promise that the US and Israel will NEVER attack Iran again.
And reparations for the damage.
Iran's FM said it straight on CBS:
"We have never asked for a ceasefire."
"We want the war to end COMPLETELY and PERMANENTLY."
The problem?
The US constitution doesn't allow any president to bind the next one.
Trump literally cannot give a permanent guarantee.
So Iran is demanding something the US is physically incapable of delivering.
This war has no exit.

🚨 TRUMP ATTACKED IRAN AND DESTROYED EVERYTHING HE BUILT 🚨
Everyone said he was untouchable.
He survived 2 impeachments.
He survived 91 criminal charges.
He survived an assassination attempt.
He won in 2024 by a landslide.
People called him the comeback king.
They said nothing could stop him.
Until Iran.
Here is exactly what happened.
BEFORE THE IRAN ATTACK:
Trump won 2024 with the biggest Republican vote share in decades.
His approval was riding near 47-50% post-election.
The economy was his to own.
He had a real shot at being remembered as one of the greats.
He promised:
"I will end wars."
"America First."
"No more stupid conflicts."
"We will make deals, not drop bombs."
People trusted him.
Even people who never liked him gave him a chance.
THEN HE BOMBED IRAN.
February 2026.
No vote in Congress.
No clear plan.
Just US and Israeli planes dropping bombs.
He killed Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei.
He thought it would be quick.
He expected a clean win.
He was wrong.
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT:
7 American service members killed.
200+ soldiers injured.
Strait of Hormuz shut down.
Oil peaked at $119 per barrel.
Gas prices exploded across America.
Markets dropped.
Working families got crushed.
US officials admitted "buyer's remorse."
No clear path to victory.
Trump officials privately fear the war drags on until September 2026.
THE POLITICAL COLLAPSE:
Tucker Carlson turned on him.
Marjorie Taylor Greene turned on him.
Rand Paul warned of a "disastrous election" for Republicans.
Rep. Massie tried to stop the war in Congress and failed.
JD Vance had a policy divide with Trump over the strikes.
Top counterterrorism official QUIT in protest.
His MAGA base split.
Half still support him.
Half feel completely betrayed.
THE NUMBERS:
Pew Research January 2026: 37% approve.
Reuters/Ipsos at the start of the attack: 39% approve, 60% disapprove.
Newsweek poll March 13-16: 35% approve, 55% disapprove.
NYT tracking March 19: 40% approve, 55% disapprove.
Anti-war protests in 12+ cities: New York, LA, Chicago, Miami, Boston and more.
Every European ally refused to help protect the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump publicly criticized them for saying no.
They still said no.
THE VERDICT:
The Economist said it best:
"Hard to imagine a crisis more precisely engineered to intercept the trajectory of his presidency."
The man who promised peace started a war.
The man who promised cheap oil caused $119 oil.
The man who said America First put Israel first.
He went from most likeable to most hated.
In under 60 days.
That is the real story of Trump in 2026.

👽Time to (re)read AREA 51.
My prediction: When Iran leaves the news cycle, and the Epstein Files resurge again, you will see the White House release *important* UFO files via ALIENS.GOV
Chaff creates false targets. Masks the real position. Old military / radar countermeasures trick.
The original plan (1950s) was to divert attention from a possible Nuclear World War III.

NEW: The Department of War is recruiting an elite strike force of Wall Street financiers to create an “Economic Warfare Unit,” which some have dubbed “Deal Team Six.”
Their mission: find companies to solve the Pentagon’s supply problems and get them the capital to do it.
After the Pentagon’s recruiting deck leaked last week, the NYT warned that “Deal Team Six” could lead to corruption, noting that salaries may reach up to $600,000 — comparable with Wall Street compensation.
But as Ryan Hassan (@eventidia) explains, this elite crew of “deal guys” could be exactly what America needs... especially during a time of war.
For decades, the military has sourced weapons from a handful of contractors that weren’t incentivized to compete, leading to rising costs and stagnating lethality.
Now, we’re hiring folks who are professionals at spending… to actually spend taxpayer money well. Yes, we’re paying them like bankers, and yes that’s the point.
