We beat the national average and earned a spot in the top quarter of states for GDP increases. Additionally, our great state came in at #2 overall for personal income growth. Nebraska’s farming and ranching families deserve a seat at the table. My administration continues to work closely with @SecRollins and the USDA team to build relationships, create policy that benefits agriculture, and grow business + trade relationships. The leaders of @NeDeptAg are making a difference for our state, and I am proud that my Director of Agriculture joined on this important mission to promote exports and livestock security.

I’ve just returned to the Good Life after a successful trade and solidarity mission to our great ally Israel. 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 The existing trade relationship between Nebraska and Israel is tremendous, but it was also enormously impactful to bear witness to the alliance between our two countries and the gratitude the people of Israel have for America’s support for their frontline fight against violent Islamist extremism. America and Israel are in the same fight, and I was honored to see the fruits of our friendship.

Grateful for the warm welcome we received from @USAmbIsrael @GovMikeHuckabee. He’s a great patriot, a dedicated public servant, and is working hard alongside President Trump to achieve peace here in Israel. The Ambassador was kind enough to host our delegation at his residence for a wonderful reception, which was full of friends and business partners of Nebraska, innovators, faithful Nebraskans on pilgrimage here to the Holy Land, and many others. He’s right about Nebraska beef — it’s a big deal in Israel, and we are proud of our work this week to keep selling the best of Nebraska. 🇺🇸 🇮🇱

Ambassador Huckabee got it right: “Governors get things done.” We’re proudly promoting Nebraska, the @USDA’s mission of supporting American agriculture, and building relationships with the Jewish people.

U/S Lindberg is in Israel w/ Middle East Peace Agreement team, seeing U.S. commodities in intl food assistance, and representing U.S. ag in trade w/ Israel. He joined @USAmbIsrael & @TeamPillen to ensure U.S. ag is at the heart of next steps w/ Israel & the region.

By a happy scheduling coincidence, my trade mission to Israel happened to overlap with a pilgrimage of Nebraskans led by Bishop James D. Conley of the Diocese of Lincoln. I was deeply privileged to have the opportunity to join this faithful group at Christ’s tomb in Jerusalem’s Church of the Holy Sepulchre, for Mass celebrated by Bishop Conley. Christianity’s holiest sites are more accessible under Israel’s protection than at any other time in history. As a result, millions of pilgrims travel from around the world to the Holy Land. Experiencing it firsthand is a moving experience for any person of faith, but particularly so for me this morning because I shared it with fellow Nebraskans of faith.

Nebraska beef is worldwide! Among our trade delegation is Fischel Ziegelheim, manager of WR Reserve, a kosher beef processor in Hastings that has the distinction of being the ONLY plant in America approved to sell into Israel. And they’re bragging about it. WR Reserve’s Israeli distributor proudly advertises the Nebraska beef aboard its trucks, with the Hebrew writing below roughly translating to: “Fresh, juicy, marbled Black Angus beef from Nebraska.” Proof again that Nebraska ranchers, feeders, and processors feed the world. 🇺🇸 🇮🇱 🥩

Israel is America’s most important ally — and we are working hard to grow our relationship and support her people. Following the historic peace deal reached by @POTUS, I’m proud to announce that I will be leading a trade mission next week to Israel to further strengthen our bond and expand Nebraska’s business opportunities. I’m grateful to Elad Strohmayer (@EladStr), Israel’s new Consul General to the Midwest, for making his first visit to Nebraska and for his work to build ties between our peoples. 🇺🇸🇮🇱

We proudly represented and promoted Nebraska: our producers, our manufacturers, and our great people. 🥩We exported more than $397 million of beef to Japan, our 2nd largest international market, last year. 🐖We exported more than $177 million of pork to Japan, ranking second among U.S. states last year.  🌽⛽️🛫We are capitalizing on the growing need for innovative, value-added products like ethanol and sustainable aviation fuel. 🤝We are growing relationships and inviting further investment in Nebraska from Japan. 🇺🇸🇯🇵 The state of Nebraska is committed to our relationship with the Japanese people: they are great friends, partners, and customers.
