It was absolutely intentional. - Investability - Investors can pick up mainline products like ETB's and Booster Boxes at reasonable prices (because it's unscalpable) - Accessibility - Kids can finally get OFFICIAL product (not the crappy repacks) at retail. You may dislike the set now. But it'll define this generations nostalgia as the start of a new era in the hobby.

@ThrowawayA55057 @xpedronickson Hell nah. The entirety of Gen 4 is amazing. One of, if not the best story (it’s between Gen 4 and 5), great region, Cynthia, great graphics for the time, amazing Pokemon, Distortion World. And the entirety of HGSS??

@xpedronickson Because they didn’t really change much of anything. Didn’t add anything to the game like past remakes (Sevii Islands in FRLG, Safari Zone and improved Crystal storyline in HGSS, Megas and Delta Episode in ORAS). No quality of life improvements. Literally a 3D import of DP
