The proposal asks voters to approve an amendment on the November 2026 ballot, giving the City Council authority to implement non-citizen voting in Los Angeles elections
The proposal was introduced by Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martinez, his family is from Mexico

Overturning NJ’s redistricting commission requires a constitutional referendum.
To pass it in time for 2028, an amendment needs 60% in both chambers of the NJ Leg. Next, voters need to approve it at the next GENERAL election.
Could turn NJ’s map from 8-4 Kamala to 11-1 Kamala.

There will probably be lawsuits over other maps, and some may indeed get struck down like Louisiana’s. (Looking at you, Alabama.) But the court did not find the entire premise of race-based redistricting unconstitutional.
