I was told Mitchell Marner couldn’t produce in the playoffs
I was told the points against Utah and Anaheim didn’t count
Maybe it wasn’t a Marner problem in Toronto…
Blue Jays: The team doesn’t look like it has what it takes. I love the team but there’s something missing. It’s not just pitching. They need more. #mlbontbs
@JohnnyGiunta_ No, but Valenzuela is so much better that I’d be ok risking having Valenzuela/Kirk tandem with the potential of losing one and having to go with MacIver than go with Kirk/Heineman
Blue Jays fans won’t want to hear this but Heineman is 100% staying with the big club once Kirk is healthy. Heineman is a fine catcher to play once a week and if you DFA him you’re a catching injury away from an awful awful tandem with the depth they have.

6 holes to fill, imo. 2 can be filled with Rielly and Robertson. ~20M in cap space to work with too.
@brad42590@nielsonTSN1260 Ok, but you bottom out without him a you finish bottom five. You aren’t getting that top 5 pick, you are handing next year to Philly and the year after to Boston. Not saying not to do it, but you are helping your opponents out as well.
So the trades ends up being
Toronto gets:
Gavin McKenna
2nd rounder
Carlo
2027 6th round pick
Toronto trades away:
2027 32nd pick (PHI)
2028 32nd pick (BOS)
Nikita Greb
