WSJ reports that Trump told aides he’s open to ending the U.S. military campaign against Iran even if the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed. Iran has already called most of the U.S. proposal “unrealistic” and “unreasonable.” They wouldn’t be saying that if they planned to agree to it, which may explain why the White House is starting to back off.
