🚨A woman who defrauded more than £23,000 in benefits claiming she was too ill to go outside was caught surfing and ziplining in Mexico.
Catherine Wieland, 33, claimed she suffered anxiety so crippling she was housebound, but the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) said it discovered she had been lying about her condition.
She’s been sentenced to 28 weeks in custody, suspended for 18 months.

The sun was free. They sold you SPF 50 and a vitamin D deficiency.
Sleep was free. They sold you an app, a pill, and a wearable that tells you your sleep was bad.
Walking was free. They sold you a treadmill, a fitness tracker, and a £180 pair of trainers.
Fasting was free. They sold you meal replacement shakes and the anxiety that skipping breakfast would wreck your metabolism.
Cold water was free. They sold you a £3,000 plunge barrel and a podcast episode about it.
Silence was free. They sold you a meditation app with a premium tier.
Animal fat was cheap. They sold you seed oils, then supplements to replace what the animal fat contained.
Tallow was cheap. They sold you a seventeen-step skincare routine and a clinical trial proving your face needs ceramides.
Meat was cheap. They are currently selling you the idea that you shouldn't eat it.
The 20th century removed access to everything the body needs to function.
The 21st century is selling it back, one subscription at a time.
Your great-grandmother had none of the products.
She had all of the things.

🚨 COUNCIL POTHOLE KILLS BIKER, 43, AFTER BEING FLAGGED FOR REPAIR TWICE IN FIVE MONTHS!
Andrew “Andy” Freakley was overtaking a van on his motorbike in Stoke-on-Trent on September 25 when he slammed into a ONE-METRE-SQUARE crater, catapulted into the path of an oncoming Volvo and died at the scene.
The killer pothole had been reported to Stoke-on-Trent City Council on May 7 and AGAIN on September 11 – yet they waited 154 DAYS before finally patching it on October 8, claiming it was “lower risk”.
Stepfather Kevin Freakley: “Why wasn’t it fixed sooner?”
Tributes pour in for the “loveable rogue with a heart of gold” dad, son and partner. Coroner confirms the crash was unavoidable.
Roads falling apart… and councils don’t care until someone dies!

Mom gets pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt, but instead of cooperating she pulls straight into her driveway.
Cop tells her to get back in the car — she refuses, grabs the baby out of the car seat, and starts yelling.
Husband runs out of the house after hearing the commotion. The officer explains the situation and asks if he can take the baby… she refuses to hand the child over.
Husband ends up telling her she’s being ridiculous.
She then claims the officer was pushing and shoving her while she was trying to get the baby — even though he had told her to stay in the car well before she went around to the back seat.
After more back-and-forth she finally lets the baby go inside… then comes back out fighting the arrest, screaming “no” the whole time.
Husband actually apologizes to the cop, who later tells him, “I was way too lenient.” Dad replies, “I know you were.”
All of this over a simple seatbelt stop.
Who thinks she probably would have just gotten a warning for this? I do.

@ArchRose90 He’d sell his own mother for a sniff of power, the fact in their country they throw him off a building to him is irrelevant

When I was growing up, pubs would often be rammed until closing time (not so much during the week, but certainly at weekends). The bell for “last orders” would usually spark a rush to the bar. These days, even the most popular pubs seem to start emptying out around 8.00-9.00pm, including on Fridays and Saturdays. Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon? Is there a reason for it?
