I really like all of our foreign options for backup centers largely for different reasons
Marcio Santos: A big physical center with experience in a tough league.
Wini Silva: A shot blocker big who loves the pick and roll and dunks everything.

I’m not sure there is anything Mark Pope could say right now that would be received positively, or shift opinions.
Maybe a, “I like the roster pieces so far, and there’s still work to do.”
Even then, the roster is incomplete, and it’ll ultimately have to be proven on the court.

Kentucky is experiencing something that other blue bloods will at some point. The coach may not be fit for the job. Players may take other offers at other schools. This isn’t amateur sports anymore, it’s pro basketball. How big expectations are achieved at Kentucky should change.
