@tonyblackburn @BBCRadio2 A wonderful evening’s entertainment. Great music, enjoyable stories, and the jokes (I never saw some of those punchlines coming 😅). Have a fantastic tour and hope to see you back in Sheffield again some time 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We had a great sold out show in Sheffield this evening, our first @BBCRadio2 Sounds of the sixties show in 2026. Thanks for being such a great audience.

With no game for @swfc @sufc on Saturday it would nice to see you up a Bracken Moor. The club is ran wholly on volunteers and our generous sponsors. Just an extra few hundred through the turnstile will make the jobs a little easier at Step 3. @AlanBiggs1 @adam3oxley @robstaton

🚨As of yesterday, the Islamic regime opened up the Internet at around 30% connectivity. Forced to do it for their own interests as the country was near to complete paralysis.
As such, hundreds of videos have now come through on the telegram channels. I’ve seen about 10% of them. I have now stopped.
We always knew what this regime was capable of. The cruelty, savagery and barbarism that I am seeing now is on a different level. It is not just the foreign militias hired by the regime from Iraq and Afghanistan to do their dirty work. It is also Iranian security forces against their fellow countrymen, unarmed civilians.
The numbers being killed each day is increasing at such an alarming rate it is beyond shocking. Bodies are piled up on the streets of the major cities in black bags like garbage. Equally staggering is the silence and inaction by the international community.
Hitler tried to exterminate the Jews. What we are witnessing in Iran in real time is a government trying exterminate a segment of their own population that that does not agree with them. Even if it’s the majority, there is no stopping them.
What gives people in Iran hope is us not looking away. But most importantly - in the brief moments the internet allows them - to glimpse messages of support from people on here. Because it make them feel less lonely.
All eyes on Iran.

#Iran: 26-year-old protester #ErfanSoltani reportedly faces execution tomorrow, without formal charges or a lawyer. The authorities in #Iran continue to brutally crackdown on protestors. We must all raise our voice for Soltani and call for the sentence to be overturned.

@WayneRooney @thesilkmen I have a soft spot for Macc, and commented to a friend whilst watching that your visible delight for the success of your brother (who assumedly has had to walk in your shadow, but you recognise that) was so very heartwarming 💙

Not unless we renationalise our public services, cut bills, boost poverty pay, tax the rich & invest in Britain.

Do we stand for international law and national sovereignty, or not?
Attacking a sovereign nation, the capture of Venezuelan President Maduro and his wife, and their imprisonment in the US is a violation of international law.
International law is not optional, and we must defend it consistently without double standards.
And of course this move by the US is not about drugs. If it was, Trump would not have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.
This is about the blatant pursuit of oil and regime change, plain and simple.
English

The UK has long supported a transition of power in Venezuela. We regarded Maduro as an illegitimate President and we shed no tears about the end of his regime.
I reiterated my support for international law this morning. The UK government will discuss the evolving situation with US counterparts in the days ahead as we seek a safe and peaceful transition to a legitimate government that reflects the will of the Venezuelan people.

@Keir_Starmer But the facts are clear. The US illegally attacked a sovereign nation, illegally arrested the head of state, is now saying it is illegally going to control the oil.
It’s not difficult is it?
The British Govt must denounce Trumps action without equivocation.
