@Frodo13056 @TheTree @RepBoebert Except they did offer to fund them. And if you think "accountability & being held to the same standards as other law enforcement officers" would neuter them then they should be neutered.

@BobBeRight @TheTree @RepBoebert No, Democrats did not propose funding for ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and CBP (Customs and Border Protection) as is, during the ongoing partial DHS (Department of Homeland Security) shutdown. Democrats want to basically neuter ICE and CPB. Nice try though.

@Frodo13056 @TheTree @RepBoebert Except Democrats HAVE offered to fund ICE, but Republicans and the Trump administration have rejected the offers. Almost like Republicans are opposed to funding ICE unless they are ensured immunity for illegal actions.

@TheTree @RepBoebert Weird. Democrats haven't proposed anything to fund ICE or Border Patrol. It's almost like Democrats are STILL fighting harder for illegals than American citizens. Actually, I'm kidding. It's not weird at all that Democrats want to see American citizens suffer because of illegals.

ICE stopped a car, took the passenger to their field office, and then told him they had been looking for someone else. They held him anyway. A federal judge reviewed it and said without the ICE mistake he would not have been detained at all. Miller’s response is that the judge is a leftist abusing habeas corpus to grind down enforcement. That framing does something specific: it defines any judicial correction of enforcement errors as sabotage. Under that logic, ICE cannot make mistakes that courts can fix. The only permissible outcome after an arrest is detention. That is not law. The Constitution’s habeas corpus protection exists precisely for this — not as an immigration policy tool but as a foundational check on executive detention of individuals. Asylum seekers have Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights. Courts have said so repeatedly. Miller wants that to stop. What he is describing is executive detention without judicial review. That is a different country than this one.
Mike Young tweet media
Stephen Miller@StephenM

This is a deranged article and preposterous ruling. Not once does it mention the fact that the detainee is an illegal alien (freed into the country by Dems in 2022). A federal district court judge ordered the alien released again because “this is a person who was just living his daily life.” Congress long ago explicitly stripped the judiciary of jurisdiction over deportation cases precisely because it is so ludicrous and destructive to afford valuable federal trial court hours to individual civil deportations (in a nation with millions upon millions of illegal aliens). And yet, in plain defiance of law, it is now routine anytime an illegal alien is arrested a network of activists and NGO lawyers instantly file improper and frivolous habeas petitions in federal district court to demand their immediate release. Leftist judges who, again, never dispute the aliens are here illegally, then order ICE to release the alien. Both the illegals’ attorneys and the judges who enable them are engaged in a gross and egregious abuse of the legal system in an effort to grind down the enforcement of our sovereign laws.

When you bought the $50,000 Tesla Model Y to save on gas & maintenance. Then you learned: - It loses 20-35% of its value by year 3 - It loses 55-58% of its value by year 5 So by year 5 you lost $35,000+ of value? ....Congrats on saving ~$1,000/yr on gas.

And with the roads what did people like yourself expect when we artificially capped the revenues that go to maintaining them? The saddest part about BBQ is it used to be poor people food. Used cheap cuts and slow smoked them till tender. Today it is more expensive than a typical steakhouse, charging $36/lb for brisket. Worst thing to happen to BBQ ever is it became popular. Now get off my lawn

That’s not accurate. The bill requires states to cross-reference existing voter rolls against DHS databases on an ongoing basis. If the system flags you — even incorrectly — you have to prove your citizenship or be removed. The SAVE system’s own documentation says it cannot make a confident determination of citizenship. SSN-based queries skip manual review entirely. The SSA’s citizenship data frequently fails to update when someone naturalizes. You’re already registered. So were the people in Travis County, Texas who got flagged — 25% of them had already provided proof of citizenship and were flagged anyway. “It doesn’t matter if you’re already registered” only holds if the system never makes a mistake. It makes mistakes.

Someone check my math: Colorado has "re-introduced" 25 wolves and last year paid over $700k to ranchers for depredation. So, taxpayers are paying $28k a year to feed each wolf. Contrast that to what you pay for dogfood. #copolitics #coleg

Autopilot was disengaged 4 seconds before the crash. You disengage autopilot by sharply steering, or braking. If the driver pressed the brake, then the truck would have had ample time to stop. If the driver steered sharply right, the truck would have been able to turn in time. Either way it was the drivers fault. Its so easy to tell when someone's never been in a Tesla

Btw what happens is drivers see that autopilot is about to cause a crash and disengage it to try to stop the crash and it’s too late. Then tesla gets to say that autopilot wasn’t engaged

If you paid $30k in income taxes in Colorado, that means you made nearly $681,000 in income after deductions. It's probably closer to $850,000 in gross salary considering all the deductions targeted towards the rich So let's be honest, you're just here bootlicking for the rich!
