She starts with “this is a lot sorry” — raw, no-filter pain: childhood trauma, mental health wars, toxic patterns, crushing insecurities, and the crushing feeling of carrying it all with no end in sight. She’s literally apologizing for unloading… because that’s how heavy life feels when nothing has purpose. This is what happens when a godless, nihilistic culture tells you life is meaningless, there’s no higher power, no transcendent purpose — just endless self-fix loops in a void. No anchor. No hope. Just wounds that never heal. In a world sold “you do you” and fake positivity, she’s living proof of the emptiness left behind.

@mnhouseDFL The “gun lobby” as you call it gets funding from memberships & small donors, we the people. They represent us better than most politicians & we give them our money voluntarily. Let that sink in.

Once again, Republicans have chosen the gun lobby over the safety and lives of Minnesotans. We aren’t done fighting. Not at all. But every Minnesotan deserves to know that every Republican just blocked comprehensive gun safety legislation.

The vote to move the gun ban bill forward by suspending the rules has FAILED 67-67 (90 votes were needed).

@MoundsViewMayor It was changed in 1983 to address the racial stuff. A quick google search could have saved you the embarrassment of putting your complete ignorance on display. Instead you advocate for the erasure of natives from the flag entirely.

My position on the flag conversation is that I think we should always be flying the current adopted flag. The reason I feel that way is that it respects democracy. I feel going back to the old flag would be very disrespectful and it would be undermining the democratic process that yielded the current flag. The new flag wasn’t my favorite of the options however it has since grown on me especially post metro surge. I saw the flag become the symbol of perseverance and unity and it really stuck with me and made me proud of our new flag. The pain and suffering we endured from metro surge was felt all across the state and right here at home in Mounds View. The flag was a central symbol of light in the darkness that was metro surge. We will likely do a proclamation and a flag dedication in the near future to cement our commitment to flying this flag and I would also like to see us adopt an ordinance stating we will fly whatever the current adopted flag is further reinforcing our commitment to democracy and the state and the place we call home. In regard to the old 1983 flag there had been attempts to change it for years. I don’t have any real attachment to it other than it’s all I have known. After 43 years It was time for a change. The old flag also had some racial undertones to it that does not reflect my values or our values as a city. I will admit I never saw the flag that way but have since learned about its history and nowhere in my conscience do I want us to be one of the cities who go back to that. Mounds View is a city where EVERYONE is WELCOME. We have done tremendous work to address our own racist past, and we will continue to work on it. We will continue to be a beacon of what is possible when good government works to serve its people and I think we are doing just that and the old flag does not fit in that equation.

Two days: 21 newly trained women in firearm fundamentals. While being a firearms instructor is exhausting, there’s just a different level of tired that comes with teaching first-timers, especially women that are scared and intimidated by guns. Between classroom instruction, ensuring safety, and helping women learn fundamental operation of a firearm, it’s a lot. Add the challenges of those with trauma and helping to manage that psychological aspect, it’s takes additional toll. But the looks on their faces when they go from being scared to proud of what they accomplished is ALWAYS worth it. Arm the women.

When I started school 95 was an A, by the time I finished it was a 90 65 was an F, now it’s 24, but here’s the worst part When I taught public school a large percentage of students couldn’t even pass with these incredibly low standards Teachers were told in no uncertain terms to fix the failing grades or get fired And if you didn’t comply principles would go in to your grade book and do it anyway After Covid the very concept of grades became a joke People have no idea what’s coming

@ScottPresler is not conservative. I don’t know what he is. He is a good galvanizer, a good asset, but not a genuine conservative. If you’ve noticed, he never takes positions or expresses his viewpoints on any of the important intraparty issues. Even with the same act, that’s something that is popular with even Democrats. Just his demeanor, has presentation, has delivery — it seems go “off,” slightly scripted and disingenuous. I’ve never heard him just have a natural conversation or discussion espousing his political views — I don’t think it would come natural to him (because he’s not an actual conservative). DON’T GET ME WRONG BABY GIRL. HE IS AN EFFECTIVE GALVANIZER. But, he would be a RINO. Just a little bit better than the current ones

I would like to publicly endorse Scott Pressler for Chairman of the RNC. Tyler Bowyer as co-Chair. No one cares more about Republican base strategy on a grassroots level than these two. It would mean Republican majorities for the next 50 years. Time to do what must be done.
