@AndrewKolvet @davidaxelrod @jmart @POTUS You need to get out of your circle and talk to real people outside of the political orbit you're in. You throw the number 2/3 around like it's true, it's not. People are sick and tired of all politicians and their inability to actually represent the AMERICAN people.

I think you’re missing a broader point. This was bigger than Trump. The base voters were betrayed by these senators. We are tired of politicians who lose agreeably to more aggressive, less principled Dems. Much of the conservative movement is awake to this dynamic, and now these future former senators are too.

When people ask why so many Rs in office stick with the @POTUS, even when it means opposing their long held positions/principles, Indiana's results provided the answer. Survival. Trump is epically unpopular with two-thirds of the country and is an albatross to any Republican in a swing state or district. But he maintains the unwavering allegiance of his base and the threat to use it as cudgels against any apostates in primary elections. That's why following through on his retribution threat against Indiana state senators for having the temerity (and courage) to oppose the extraordinary, mid-decade re-districting he demanded was so essential to the WH.

Our souls have been searched TY
Breitbart News@BreitbartNews

Mike Pence: "I think Republicans ought to do a lot of soul-searching" before 2028 "I think Republicans face a new time of choosing — whether we're going to stay on the path of the traditional conservative principles that have always defined our party for the last half century, or whether we're going to follow the siren song of populism" "We've always been a party committed to low taxes, including low tariffs and free trade. Now, as we witnessed, the president imposed unilateral tariffs on friend and foe alike until the Supreme Court stepped in and used the Constitution to turn him back." "I know Donald Trump better than his most ardent defenders know him. Okay? And he is not ideological. In fact, he often bristled when I would refer to policies as conservative. He would, with a wave of a hand, say to me, 'That's just common sense.' But now, as you see the stops and starts on our support for Ukraine under this administration, nationalizing American businesses, unilateral tariffs, price controls on everything from pharmaceuticals to credit cards, all of this should should create a backdrop for a very healthy debate over whether we're going to stay moving in the direction, on these issues, that President Trump has led our party, or whether we're going to re-ground ourselves back to those timeless conservative principles, I think, that have always made not only our party successful but, more importantly, have made America strong and prosperous and free."

@amandalitman What happens when the Rs challenge and the Courts strike it down? Pretty sure lower/upper court judges will look at this as an attack on them all and will throw it out.

This is excellent creative thinking on how to overturn the redistricting decision: Lower the retirement age of justices on the VA Supreme Court and whoosh, they all have to go. Appoint new judges, rehear case, get a different ruling. the-downballot.com/p/how-virginia…

@shipwreckedcrew There's also WBE, MBE and DbE requirements on most government projects that this OK company may have fulfilled or a possible certain expertise.

The company awarded the general contract on a federal-funded project can hire whoever it wants as a subcontractor. It is not limited by location or price it wants to pay. The overall contract price awarded to the general contractor sets the price ceiling. How the GC uses those funds to pay subs is not of concern to the "owner." Stick to what you know -- which seems like not much.
Gabe Sanchez@iamgabesanchez

Now here's another question: why is an Oklahoma company being subcontracted for a project in the nation's capital? Plenty of qualified local firms exist. Oh, and DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, who was photographed at the reflecting pool with Trump, is from Oklahoma. I'll let you connect the dots.

Too many MAGA people moan about what they are not seeing done while ignoring the incredible wealth of good news in their midst. I’ll give you just one example. Did you know that the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division has created a “Second Amendment Section,” designed to protect the Second Amendment rights of all Americans? Did you know that the Second Amendment Section recently sued the City of Denver for its unconstitutional ban on modern sporting rifles? Did you know that the Second Amendment Section has a link where you can report attacks on your own Second Amendment rights? (I’ll include the link one post below.) Did you know? It’s all coming up roses, and it’s still not good enough for some. Not me though, I’m full of positive waves.

Somebody needs to re-make Paddy Chafesky's classic and prescient 1976 film "Network," except set in present day and focusing on social media "influencers" and Podcastistan. It would be lit. I'm as mad as Hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore.

The Strait of Hormuz is blockaded. Europe's plan? Ursula von der Leyen: "The cheapest energy is the one you don't use." Stay home, don't drive, don't use electricity. The EU has no plan and no military to change do anything. So they are stuck with "monitoring the situation"

The multiple reports of sexual assault and misconduct by women staffers and others about Rep. Swalwell are detailed, disturbing, corroborated by contemporaneous accounts and all too compelling. These allegations are disqualifying in many ways. He should follow the advice of his campaign chairman and California colleagues and end his campaign. My thoughts are with the survivors.

@RepThomasMassie @DAGToddBlanche @RepRoKhanna @PamBondi Serious question: Have these women ever sat with Special Victims detectives and given the facts of their assaults over the past 15 years? If these crimes occurred on US soil it would be the jurisdiction of where the crime occured to investigate.
