@TxForever The answer is to trade Jake Oettinger. He has a lot of trade value and will never win a Stanley Cup so it's a win win. You don't lose a key player who can help win a championship and you get a lot value in return.

The Stars solution is so simple to me.
Trade Harley. Unless Miro gets hurt or is gone he simply won’t be worth his $10.6M hit here. He can be a number 1 defenseman on other teams and that’ll actually be better for him. You not only free up cape but can get legit pieces back

Genuinely in a messed up way I think the early exit will be good for the Stars. An extra month of rest after a grueling season will be good for them. All of our best players (minus JRob and WyJo) went to the Olympics on top of 3-straight long seasons with deep runs

@JBPierce13 He's a bit of an enigma. Had a great 2024-2025 but a less than ideal 2025-2026. Looked better as the year went on with Lundkvist, but his offensive prowess took quite a hit (being on PP2 is a not insignificant part of this I'd bet).

As a lifelong Stars fan who is 29 years old.
I am really emotional about potentially watching Benn’s last game as a Star. Many younger fans think of him as a goon or heel.
I watched him usher this franchise into what it is today. He was the transition from Brenden Morrow to the juggernaut it has become.
He won an Art Ross. For a few seasons, he was up there with prime Crosby and Ovechkin.
He won Gold in 2014 with team Canada.
I understand he is a polarizing player, and deserving of criticism lately, but please understand that he is a franchise legend.
I have watched him for 17 seasons. His jersey number should never be worn in Dallas ever again.
If you retire and never wear Victory Green again.
