MPs were told to “wait for the Budget” to see the end of the two-child benefit cap, the key driver of child poverty.
It didn’t happen.
Since the election, an additional 10,000 children have been pushed into poverty.
I lost the whip for voting to scrap the cap. I'd do it again.

I completely understand why the Chancellor focussed on tackling the crisis in our health service today but unless we tackle poverty & in that way increase demand in our economy we will not secure the economic growth we need.

A Wealth Tax of just 2% on assets over £10 million would raise £24 BILLION per year.
