@realDailyWire "I worked all day and now I'm going to stand on the bread line to get food for my family."

@mattconvente Yes, Dems are the party of corrupt public sector unions. At least YOU acknowledge it.

It’s also made possible because you refuse to tax your rich donors and plug the budget holes with the tax breaks Donald Trump gave them.

Governor Kathy Hochul@GovKathyHochul
This LIRR strike was only possible because the Trump administration authorized it last fall. Before that, a strike could not happen. Facts still matter, @POTUS.
English

I am a LIRR rider & I support this strike. She doesn't speak for me. The workers on strike are not going to settle for what is essentially a pay cut. I want the workers who work on the trains to be well compensated & energized to continue keeping me safe! #UnionProud #UnionStrong
Governor Kathy Hochul@GovKathyHochul
I stand with LIRR riders and will fight to preserve the long-term stability of the MTA.
English

@sam_d_1995 @claireforny @LIRR @MTA Anyone who doesn't even hide that they are socialist, is not going to understand the concept of the govt trying to price worker pay correctly.
She is not looking to protect the interests of taxpayers, just tax-takers.
English

@claireforny @LIRR @MTA What about the commuters who rely on the LIRR, and the fact that LIRR workers are already the highest paid in the country? Is the LIRR a transit agency or a jobs program?

Grocery prices are soaring. Putting a fresh vegetable in your shopping cart costs 11.5% more this year than it did last year.
We need not accept rising costs as forces outside our control. Government can bring them down. Here in New York City, City Hall will do just that.
ABC News@ABC
Grocery prices in the U.S. soared faster in April than any month in nearly four years, driving up the cost of everything from frankfurters to tomatoes to cupcakes, according to government data. abcnews.link/xPaGhxl

NEW: A tax on the second homes of wealthy part-time residents of NYC would initially target properties that have a “market value” of at least $1 million.
The rates for these units will be between 4% + 6.5% — in addition to their property tax obligations.

@nickspanos @NYCMayor Yea, this is an insane take from the mayor. There is massive competition in this space. Bitcoin and stable coins are going to drive the price of remittance payments to nearly zero.
English

Bitcoin duh?? Wow. What a different perspective coming from this new Mayor compared to Mayor Adams. Mayor Adams was a technologist. He was an early programmer. And the media made him look like he wasn't intellectual and made this guy look intellectual. I can't wait for the trash responses I'm gonna get from these brainwashed Socialists. @ericadamsfornyc

Every month, thousands of working class New Yorkers use Western Union to send money to loved ones. Now Western Union wants to buy its top competitor, Intermex, so it can jack up remittance fees and squeeze families even more. Families shouldn’t pay the price for corporate monopolies.

@DarrigoMelanie I didn't know the pied-a-tier tax was official until today.

@j_brucestewart @FlattsBridge @mattyglesias @RBReich If it doesn't take a special person, than what, you're a non-billionaire by choice?
English

@FlattsBridge @BollardLife @mattyglesias @RBReich Sorry, it doesn't take a special person to become a billionaire. Although, I have no problem changing my mind if you can provide peer-reviewed evidence
English

@j_brucestewart @FlattsBridge @mattyglesias @RBReich It's not just about working hard, it's ingenuity. It also means creating value. To make a billion dollars you need to create a billion dollars of value. Every time you sell something, both sides win. You earn a billion dollars, everyone you transacted with profited too.
English

Can you imagine the number of people who worked as hard as seinfeld, lebron, and Oprah? For instance i remember when Michael Jordan was in college playing for UNC. I was stationed at Ft Bragg at the same time. Many people including myself thought a guy by the name of Len Bias was better than Jordan. Then one day before the draft he tried cocaine for the first time and died. And that was it. Jordan went on to become jordan and bias became a footnote in history.

But Johnny--It's a pork barrel project. I don't think you're one of the hogs at the trough, but there are plenty, oinking up megabucks.

Stop this henpecking. $13M? This is an iconic American place and was in serious disrepair. Get over the TDS and celebrate this is getting done for our 250th. 🇺🇸

@WallStreetMav What newspaper is this? I'd like to read the article.

@cyberprince_rwo Idk what to do. $120 has me shaking.
All the numbers in my accounts are too large.
English

@PalmerLuckey Or we can stop letting the post office subsidize junk mail.
But the govt being in control of deciding what is and is not junk mail is bad.
