@danaceda A win in this law would be to create a framework for creatives to earn a dignified living from their crafts.

#hotoffthebench Partial success Court of Appeal has declared sections 22 and 23 of the Computer Misuse Act unconstitutional. 'are so broad, wide, untargeted, akin to unguided missiles, and likely to net innocent citizens. They are aimed at patrolling the social media space'

You have not seen resilience if you’ve not seen an Ongata Rongai school bus driver in action during this season💪. Thin roads, steep terrain, cotton soil, sewerage on the road and small children in their clean uniforms in his bus….he balances all!

In my opinion, there should be more mentors and more talks about this situation since not everyone who graduates from KSL/Law school wants to go down the litigation route. Is there way such people can be helped? (3/3)

There’s need to address the issue of advocates who don’t want to go down the litigation, conveyancing etc route. Lately, I’ve noticed that many upcoming advocates/lawyers (me included) don’t want to go down that route but have zero guidance on it. (1/3)

Turns out, the reason why bacon is going bad, getting slimy and smelling rancid after 3 days is because big food gamed preservation and started injecting slabs with 'water' instead of the salt covering and smoking method. It's also the reason why it shrinks that much nowadays.

How do you say ‘calf’ in your Ntu language? In some it’s literally the belly of the leg 😉

In Pove (Gabon) it’s nyondo. In Tshivenda (SAfrica) it’s nundo. Do you also have such word for « hammer » 🔨 in your Ntu language ?

Of course Africans think/thought of the future, and even had roles such as rainmakers, seers, griots, mothers and grandmothers etc. All these were working for the future, weren't they? There are also many names and rituals which are futuristic.

In ecological time we can still talk of the future, because African beliefs also involve the unborn. The only distinction is that we are not certain of the future, since we have not lived it yet.

Mbiti spoke of ecological time in African religion in contrast to chronological time in Western religion. The problem with this snippet is that it does not lay out the full argument and it can be cherrypicked to potray the ecological time concept or Africans as inferior…
