@iamkennethchan @JohnnyUtahVan In 1987, BC implemented the property transfer tax. It was sold as a “tax the rich” and only applied to ~ 5% of transactions. Today, ~ 99% of Vancouver buyers pay it because the thresholds were not adjusted for inflation.
