Haven't seen any IDP providers that have given Arvell Reese DL eligibility. A little surprised. Not ideal for his fantasy value.

Just finished 40 minutes of a Duke Tobin news conference. Will have much more coming, but a few thoughts stand out. -Talking point of the day was that in getting the Dexter Lawrence trade done they "layered in challenges" financially this year and next and are at or near the top of the league in spending. -Sounds possible the Lawrence trade jeopardized the Myles Murphy 5YO. "Would be a financial decision ..." was part of the answer as that comes up. -Tobin sounded open to restructuring Burrow (very different from February response) and said they would look into that now that the draft is over. -Wasn't design to not add LB, but he expressed extreme confidence in that group and what Carter-Knight will grow into this year. -Pointed out never done roster building, but obvious they feel restricted at this moment. -"Pass rush is still king," not that it was necessary to say it after all the money/capital spent on DL this spring. Again, much more from this and a full slate of behind-the-scenes from draft/FA coming your way in the next few days.

@JamesRapien A- if you include Dex. Colbie Young was the only bad pick imo, but if you're gonna reach at least do it with freak athletes, and we needed WR depth. If we sign a vet LB, this might be the best off-season in Bengals history

@zimwhodey Honestly taking him and letting him get the surgery now when we have so much CB depth and having him redshirt would be a very savvy move imo

I would draft Jermod McCoy today and unlike many other teams with two starting cbs already on the roster, be able to sit him for a year no problem. If he doesn’t get a surgery I still have the luxury of sitting him through 8+wks of a season & allow him to gradually rotate in.

A common thread on Day 2 between edge Cashius Howell and CB Tacario Davis is the #Bengals defense hunting player types they are missing. Howell brings the smaller, explosive, bendy edge in a DPR+ role. Shades of Mafe, but nobody on the roster like him. Few CBs in NFL with Davis' length. They were targeting length to add behind Hill-Turner. Can match against tight ends in passing situations, too, as Tre Flowers did a few years back, and DJ Ivey in recent years.

@BrettKollmann How are we feeling about Howell at 41 though. Him and Mafe bringing some serious juice...
