@_AfricanUnion @UN This great organisation must pay attention to the current political stalemate in Sierra Leone that has been instituted by the SLPP led government of President Julius Maada Bio. The continuous violation of the Tripartite recommendations implementation will result in war in 2028.

Statement of the Chairperson of the AU Commission on the Adoption of @UN General Assembly Resolution A/80/L.48 declaring the trafficking of enslaved Africans and racialized chattel enslavement of Africans as the gravest crime against humanity. The Chairperson of the African Union Commission warmly welcomes the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of resolution A/80/L.48, led by the Republic of #Ghana, declaring the trafficking of enslaved Africans and racialized chattel enslavement of Africans as the gravest crime against humanity. The AUC Chairperson @ymahmoudali commends H.E. the President of the Republic of Ghana for this important leadership, which reflects Africa’s longstanding and principled call for the full recognition of the slave trade and its enduring consequences. “This historic decision marks an important step toward truth, justice, and healing, and reinforces the urgent need to address the enduring legacy of slavery,” the Chairperson stated. The AUC Chairperson reiterated the African Union’s call for comprehensive acknowledgment of the historical and contemporary impacts of slavery, including the pursuit of reparative justice, in line with #Agenda2063 and relevant Assembly decisions. The African Union remains committed to working with the United Nations, Member States, and partners to advance historical justice and ensure that such crimes are neither forgotten nor repeated. @EUintheUS This great institution must pay huge attention to the political stalemate currently in Sierra Leone between the main opposition APC party and the SLPP led government. The SLPP led government of President Maada Bio is consistently violating the Tripartite agreement every day.

@Keketoma_Sandi Tell President Maada Bio to fix the political stalemate in Sierra Leone before embarking on international trips. The appointment of Edmond Sylvester Alpha as the Country new Chief Electoral Commissioner is a recipe for disaster and chaos.

Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio Arrives in Miami for the 4th FII PRIORITY Summit Miami, United States, Tuesday, 24 March 2026 – His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio has touched down in Miami to attend the 4th edition of the FII PRIORITY Summit, taking place from 25 to 27 March. The event is organised by the Future Investment Initiative Institute under the theme “Capital in Motion”. President Bio has been invited as a featured speaker and will be the only African head of state offering insights on how the continent can transform its growing population into a driver of economic strength. He is scheduled to deliver a keynote presidential address and join a fireside chat dedicated to discussions on Africa. This year’s summit will also feature a special address by the President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, along with contributions from policymakers, business executives, investors, and global thought leaders. By bringing together influential voices from various sectors, the Summits aim to turn today’s challenges into future opportunities, laying the foundation for sustainable development and meaningful value creation. President Bio’s participation underscores his rising international profile as a respected reformer, proponent of good governance, and strong advocate for foreign direct investment in Africa. Breaking!!! Comrades of our mighty APC party, we are happy to inform the general membership of our astute party that our revered National Secretary-general has been released from CID. His release is highly connected to the pressure of the APC and the public. @LCAMBnews.

I note with grave concern detention of National Secretary General, Lansana Dumbuya of the All Peoples Congress. Govt of Sierra Leone is reminded that this action defeats the National Unity Agreement. I urge Govt to deescalate tension by securing his release. Chief Negotiator, APC

Dr. Richard Konteh (The Unifier)
DR. RICHARD KONTEH CONDEMNS THE DANGEROUS COMMENT DAVID SENGH MADE REGARDING PRESIDENT BIO CLINGING TO POWER UNTIL 2039 I have taken note, with deep concern, of the widely circulated video in which David Sengeh has boldly stated that President Julius Maada Bio and the SLPP will remain in government until 2039. This statement is reckless, unconstitutional, and deeply offensive to the democratic conscience of the people of Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone is a constitutional republic governed by the supremacy of the Constitution, not by the wish or confidence of any individual, political party, or public official. The Constitution is unequivocal: the presidency is limited to two terms. President Julius Maada Bio is currently serving his second and final term, and no individual or party has the moral or legal authority to pre-determine governance beyond that mandate. Let me remind you of Chapter V, Section 46(1) of the 1991 Constitution of Sierra Leone, which unequivocally states that: ”No person shall hold office as President for more than two terms of five years each, whether or not the terms are consecutive.” This clause is the clear constitutional foundation for presidential term limits in Sierra Leone and directly contradicts any suggestion of governance beyond the second term. To publicly imply continuity of power beyond constitutional limits is: * A direct assault on the rule of law * A disrespect to the sovereignty of the people * A dangerous normalization of authoritarian thinking * And a grave threat to democratic stability Democracy thrives on uncertainty in outcomes, competition of ideas, and the people’s unfettered right to choose their leaders through free and fair elections. Any rhetoric that suggests permanent political dominance undermines these sacred principles and erodes public confidence in our democratic institutions. This statement is even more troubling because it comes from a senior government official who ought to be a custodian of constitutional order, not a promoter of political entitlement. Public officers must exercise restraint, responsibility, and unwavering loyalty to the Constitution—not to party supremacy. History across Africa and beyond has shown us that eras of prolonged or engineered political dominance often end in instability, economic decline, institutional collapse, and human suffering. Sierra Leone must not be led down that path again. I therefore: 1. Unequivocally reject any suggestion of unconstitutional continuity of power. 2. Call on David Sengeh to immediately clarify or retract this statement in the interest of national peace and democratic integrity. 3. Urge the SLPP leadership and the Government of Sierra Leone to publicly distance themselves from this reckless statement, and reaffirm their commitment to term limits, constitutionalism, and peaceful democratic transitions. 4. Call on civil society, religious leaders, the media, and the international community to remain vigilant in defence of Sierra Leone’s hard-won democracy. Sierra Leone does not belong to any political party. It belongs to its people. Power is not inherited, predicted, or permanently owned, it is entrusted by the electorate for a limited time and under strict constitutional boundaries. The APC party, and everyone committed to upholding the principles of democracy, will continue to stand firmly for: * The supremacy of the Constitution * The sanctity of the ballot * And the inalienable right of Sierra Leoneans to choose and change their leaders freely Democracy in Sierra Leone must never again be reduced to political prophecy or party entitlement. #sierraleone #apc #SierraLeone #SaloneX #dunifier #richardkonteh #SaloneTwitter @diaspora_apc @We_yoneNp #sierraloaded #salonekongosa #born2blog #scotlandheritage #sierraleoneheritage #sierraleoneheritage @TruthmediaSL @USEmbFreetown @UKinSierraLeone @SLAJ_Salone @UNFPASierraleon @SierraLeoneUN @EUinSierraLeone @_AfricanUnion @ecowas_cedeao @thomasd05987132
