The Israeli and US military performance in Iran must be quite depressing for European officers... All European militaries combined have not as many tanker aircraft, cruise missiles, air launched ballistic missiles, destroyers, 5th generation fighters, strategic bombers, 1/4

@ScottMi74566718 @SAMU_APP I have been using it for about 6 months and I've never noticed this happened before. But yes, it is a bit of a worry. If we did get significant down time, how easy is it to move to another platform?

Ok folks, I’m going to take a brief Twitter break. The stupidity here matched with rage has made this no fun. Even in 2025, the number of people laughing at posts and making witty comments was about 15-1 vs. rage. It’s now about 1-3. Sometimes I may be too subtle but it’s happening on real obvious stuff too. Rage farming is very lucrative but it’s not something I ever sought to do. It makes reading replies a total slog and I won’t engage in friendly fire.

@RepJackKimble Jack. I'm sure you don't. You're probably a lot cheaper to buy. We Greenlanders however are not. The suggestion is ridiculous. No means no. We don't want to be Americans. We have neither school shootings or federal agents killing protesters. End. Of. Discussion.

To our friends in Europe and abroad: We Americans hate Donald Trump too. He doesn’t represent us. We very much support you all and cooperation between the United States and your country is imperative. We’ll get Trump and his buddies out of office soon.

If Hitler was a thing today and Trump surgically extracted him from power without losing a single American serviceman and brought him to stand trial, American liberals would be rioting in the streets to free Hitler. That's how deranged they are.

1/ Let's have some fun with debunking my favorite internet ancient Egypt conspiracy theory (that's not about the Pyramids). The infamous "Abydos Helicopter" The most recent bleat about this was @darkjournalist who claims this "stele" proves the Egyptians had advanced tech #Egypt

@PeterBrandEgypt @Gnosisinformant @MichaelButtonX Thanks for that refreshing post! Sadly, we're being told there really are simple answers to complex questions, and if you say otherwise you must have some nefarious hidden agenda. Everything can be sorted with a deportation or a tariff. Witches and heretics next! 🔥

Im one of those Egyptologists (university of Memphis) he refuses to engage. Neither do the other guys in the AltArcheology business. People love "mysteries". Some like it when they are solved, but others prefer them to remain a "mystery" Some like Button don't want experts to solve these problems or they refuse to accept our solutions no matter how much evidence we have Some folks like to believe they have found a solution to a mystery that experts missed. I have received lots of mail & email over the years from men, it's always middle aged or older men, offering solutions to how the Egyptians built the Great Pyramid. Always the Great Pyramid, none of the others Most guys honestly think they are helping me & my colleagues solve a problem we couldn't figure out ourselves. They want to engage with archaeologists The AltArch types are different, they have contempt for experts & delight in "proving" their theories. Really they are just shouting that we don't know anything. The last thing they want to do is engage with experts & they dont handle any exchange of ideas or challenges to their theories well. It's not just that the AltArch folks don't trust the archaeologists. They cherry 🍒 pick the evidence and reject any archaeological data that contradicts or complicates their imagined narratives. Copper chisels & stone pounders for quarrying? Irrelevant! Tomb paintings showing craftsmen using these tools? What paintings? 🙈🙉🙊 Sandstone quarries full of chisel marks fitting ancient bronze chisels? Never heard of them. Ignore! Instead, they make exotic claims about making ancient monuments & say the monuments themselves are the only evidence needed to "prove" their theories are right They are often quite hazy about the actual details. So, they say, the Egyptians, or some precursor civilization, built the pyramid with "advanced technology" that could make the precise cuts of the blocks. So exactly what kind of tools did they use? Technologically advanced ones of course! So where are these advanced tools? Have any been found by archeologists? No comment. Next question please! If we haven't found these ancient advanced technology, how do know they existed? Because the pyramids exists & it's impossible to build a pyramid without advanced technology!!! This is what is known as a circular argument blended with special pleading, and cherry picking evidence. The last thing any AltArch guy would do is have an honest, meaningful conversation with an Egyptologist. At best it would be an ambush interview on a podcast or Youtube video. At worst, it would be a social media ragebaiting match. AltArch guys frequently ridicule & condemn all archeologists & experts as fools & charlatans I will say this, however, some of my colleagues are to quick to mock them with snappy comebacks & dismissive comments. I've done it myself. But I mostly try to calmly explain what the evidence tells us. Even when the occasional snarky comment comes from an expert slips out, it's annoying when some bomb 💣 throwing AltArch comes back with a smug statement that we're the ones being unprofessional. One guy even claimed I was "unethical" for suggesting an influencer with many thousands of followers had a financial motive People should understand that experts are under constant assault by these conspiracy theorists daily. We could ignore them & go back to our "ivory towers", but who would challenge their wacky ideas? Im an educator. It's my job. Before anyone says we tell studentswhat to believe, NO. We teach students how to think for themselves & question ideas & the world around them. In my case history. Also, my "ivory tower" is in the basement of a crummy, ugly, 60+ year old building that use to get sewage leaks in the hallways. 😝🤢 so much for being an "academic elite"
