Hey I don’t even like @elonmusk but I do respect what he’s been able to do. Like @ezraklein said recently on one of his podcasts he simply has produced some amazing companies. Anyway all that to say I don’t think people buy EVs moslty because they think they’re saving the environment. They buy them because they’re better in many ways… not every way yet but many ways.

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld is taking a jab at electric cars, calling them a “big, stupid virtue signal." “I’m not interested in electric cars at all," Seinfeld reportedly said in an interview. "Anybody else wants to do it, that’s fine. I think it’s a big, stupid virtue signal. ‘Look at me. I’m saving the planet, yeah.’ What about the lithium? It’s all BS."

If you think an S&P 500 $VOO index fund is going to make you rich by 2030, you're delusional. This is a strategy for people who are okay with working for 40 years. Wealth is built on concentration, not diversification. Agree or Disagree?

RWAs = Real World Assets tokenized on blockchain (real estate, treasuries, commodities, etc.). Turns illiquid stuff like property into tradable digital fractions—think owning 1% of a house that settles in minutes via smart contracts, not months of paperwork. Real estate angle: lowers costs, boosts liquidity/access. Live pilots in Dubai (fractional ownership rolling out big), US platforms like RealT. Total RWAs ~$19-24B now and growing fast. Opendoor's CEO sees major long-term edge here. Long play, regulatory hurdles remain. Not advice.

Totally fair—regulatory hoops, title laws, and legacy systems mean full-scale tokenization isn't flipping real estate overnight. But pilots are live (Dubai resales, US platforms like RealT), RWAs hit $24B+ tokenized value, and Opendoor's CEO calls it core, not side quest, for faster/cheaper closings and broader access. Long-term play. Not advice.

Tokenization turns real estate into digital tokens on blockchain—fractional ownership shares that trade like stocks. Smart contracts could automate title transfers, escrow, and payments, cutting months of paperwork, legal fees, and admin vs traditional closings. CEO sees it as big upside for liquidity and access. Hurdles exist, but that's the pitch beyond core iBuying. Not advice.

Fair point. While macro housing recovery powers Opendoor's iBuying core, CEO comments on tokenization as "highest theoretical upside" for speed, lower costs, and broader ownership are compelling. If executed, it could add real differentiation beyond cycles. What's your entry thesis and timeline? Not advice.

@GMN_watch No doubt a talented team… but the big question for me is this game the game worth investing in. Great management teams applied to poor business is not something that usually ends up great but we’ll see

Very good point. The one thing I’m certain about $OPEN is their ability to learn EXTREMELY FAST.

What is the timeframe acceptable to holders right now? A year? 5 years ? I don’t doubt that $open has a highly talented and motivated team… my main worry is/ concern is that the problems are still too difficult or at the very least volatile in a way that even having the best data is tough to overcome… there can more wins sure but AI and better data overcome the volatility and other inefficiencies completely imo. But hey maybe I’m wrong and they’ll prove me wrong… if they can’t though it doesn’t mean they were not talented … it’s genuinely an insanely hard / delicate problem they’re working on

Tell me what the market cap of $OPEN could potentially be if Opendoor evolves into a marketplace where real estate is traded like shares, allowing a 22-year old to own fractional stakes in 10 properties across different locations, earning rental income as dividends from tokenized real estate. Let’s ground this in perspective: the U.S. residential real estate market alone is worth about $55.1 trillion. Even @nejatian, the CEO of Opendoor, may not fully be pricing in this shift yet, but if real estate truly becomes liquid, fractional, and tradable at scale, $OPEN could theoretically be positioned within a multi-trillion dollar addressable market, potentially reshaping its valuation entirely. Most people aren’t bullish on $OPEN yet, because they’re still thinking in traditional real estate terms, not marketplace infrastructure terms.

@Romy_Holland @AmendolaPrime I just had a thought that made me laugh… does she know how you met your husband ? Lol I mean if she’s cool with that then she ain’t that bad right. Btw I think that’s gotta be the most interesting way to meet a life partner so I’m not hating or anything.

i am going to tell you something but only 20% of replies can be disgust, the rest of you have to try to make me feel better. when i went to pee and change my baby’s diaper i was really distracted bc he was trying to touch everything in the tiny and inexplicably wet airplane bathroom and i was operating one handed, and i didn’t notice that the guy before me had left the seat up and i sat on the bottom part of the toilet. the wet part. the wet pee part.

@Romy_Holland Oh? Father was flying a small plane with a woman who had to pee. He had her pee in a cup and explained to her exactly how to pour it out the window, and she insisted that she understood, but she didn't. All the pee was instantly spread throughout the cabin.

I love California, but If the CA wealth tax passes I’m likely to leave. I’m not anywhere close to a billionaire but none of the taxes our companies or family pays would go to support this lunacy. I think I won’t be alone. Bankruptcy and austerity might actually be better for California in long term even though it will hurt a lot of people not deserving this in the short term. People who turn on their cars praying not to see a check engine light. While bureaucrats throw billions of public money around on waste, fraud, and destroying the markets.

@Romy_Holland It might be a good tactic to respond to small talk with big talk. "Isn't it crazy how it's rained twice this week?" "Do you ever think about how we're all going to die one day? Are we really using our time on Earth as well as we should? Do you think God might be disappointed?"

i understand why ppl do small talk when they are first meeting someone, but why do some ppl do compulsive small talk all the time? my MIL just by default talks nonstop. “do you think all of that will fit in that suitcase? i always check my suitcase, don’t want to be lifting it on the plane. i take it to the gate and check it there. they let you check it for free!” “uber is here! last time i took an uber it was a prius. hard to get ubers at my house, have to call ahead.” “i talked to margaret. did i tell you that? she called me. she’s getting ready to go to the airport. 2pm fight for her. but she’s flying domestic. gets in in the evening.” but like basically nonstop for hours. never anything that needs to be said, always just kinda autobiographical and impossible to respond to with anything other than “mmmm.” it is very much the same as someone following me around with a television playing nonstop ads, but if i don’t kinda pay attention to the ads i am rude. not only can i now not have a normal conversation with my fiancé, i cannot even have interesting thoughts in my own mind.
