Most of these houses are by far not in livable condition and only a handful of those that are, are even in a walkable distance to a train station. Buying doesn't give you a visa either.

Japan has 9 million vacant homes, a 13.8% vacancy rate. If current patterns continue, vacancy could reach 25.5% by 2043, with nearly 19 million empty units out of a projected 73.7 million total housing stock. Whereas Tokyo's vacancy rate is below 5% in the central 6 wards.

Instead of being Scottish Nobility my family is working-class. Fled to Lancaster and nearly died out before coming to America as Congertionalists.
We will restore Catholicism to my family name and maybe get our ancestral home back

Presbyterianism has been a dead denomination since at least the 1970s. I’ve been across the country and to Europe and have never met a single self identified Presbyterian except for online. I’ve met Catholics,baptists,non denominationals, Mormons, and everything in between.

The Catholic churches around here have been consolidated for 20+ years, but I guess recently they merged down even further.
That's a lot of churches in one lump.
I think a couple got dropped out of the rotation entirely even.

It's absurd that US Representative salaries are still only $174,000. It hasn't been changed since 2009! Obviously increasing it is an optics nightmare, but it's really bad to pay our electeds so little, especially with the cost of maintaining two residences.
