@Brando_BJE @mario4thenorth I paid and still paying my fair of taxes. I 100% agree with you with the level of taxation in Canada and the sub par service. No doubt, but as a healthily individual at the moment I am just grateful that if I get hurt seriously I can walk into any hospital and get help.

Paid $3.32 a litre for gas in Switzerland. Median wage: $146,000 CAD Unemployment: 2.9% Youth unemployment: 2.7% Franc: worth $1.74 CAD Canada: Median wage: $63,000 Unemployment: 6.5% Youth unemployment: ~14% Unlike Canada, they have almost no natural resources & they import almost all their energy. Please, do not lecture me that we cannot do what the Swiss do: we can lower taxes, a strong dollar, bigger paycheques, lower taxes & cheap energy. We are a top 5 global resource rich country.

@Optrader85 @mario4thenorth Eventually. I hurt my knee last monday at work. I went to emerg (cant get a family doctor appointment for weeks) I did recieve immediate x-rays but require an ultrasound to examine all the softer tissue portions of the knee. I havnt even gotten the phone call to schedule that.

@Optrader85 @mario4thenorth Not in theory. You pay dearly for if you currently or have ever paid taxes. People need to speak out about discontent, thats one mechanism about bringing change. Sitting quietly while recieving substandard service doesnt make you polite, it makes you a sucker, and its enabling.

@mario4thenorth You do know that swiss doesn't offer free healthcare and you must purchase insurance. There is good and bad to the nation.

To everyone praising Mark Carney here’s your chance. Name ONE thing he’s actually negotiated with Trump that has benefited Canadians. Not promises. Not photo ops. Not spin. One real result. If he’s doing such a fantastic job, this should be an easy question to answer.
Canada 4 Europe@CanadaForEurope

Sounds like projection from the side who would rather see the country burn than admit their policies and candidates are deeply unpopular. I voted for everything Mark Carney is doing

@LibraGuyNorth @Jayde8700 Real strong response, 💪 I was a "liberal" in 2015 . The absolute bastardization of what that meant is so far gone that only sick, deluded individuals cling to it still.

@Jayde8700 We don’t want to negotiate with Trump so he’s doing what we voted for. Hope this helps. PP would have given everything away and burned us to the ground by now btw.

Cutting emissions. Catalysing massive private investments in clean tech. Creating thousands of good jobs.   The Pathways Project will be the world’s largest carbon capture, utilisation, and storage project — built right here in Alberta.

I honestly don't regret voting for Trudeau in 2015. - Weed legalization is a clear success. - NAFTA renegotiation dodged a bullet. - The SNC Lavalin affair was the right choice: his mistake was having a dumb Justice Minister. - Was never serious about PR.

@GadSaad I can picture you walking around your neighborhood, with your “holier than thou” attitude, talking down to your fellow Canadians simply because you truly believe you know best… Sounds insufferable.

I have engaged many liberal voters in my neighbourhood. They are utterly oblivious to any evidence that might require them to alter their positions. The main position that they take: "I'm a good person. I'm liberal. This is why I vote liberal."
Marc Nixon@MarcNixon24

Unbelievable. Mark Carney delivers a technical recession and the worst economic crash for a debut PM in 63 YEARS real GDP is actively shrinking and the polls say 60% of people are happy with it?! 🤯 Canada is a MESSED up Country

@tylerblack32 So by your reasoning, canadians should hold liberal voters personally responsible for all the shortfalls of the last 11 years ? How would you suggest we start?

I dont claim to speak for all Canadians, but I do speak like many Canadians who are actively avoiding everything they can American (some things unavoidable), and may never forgive America for Trump 2.0 Call it whatever you want, it's a thing. I can go to any supermarket and see it in aisles.
Tyler Black, MD@tylerblack32

Please direct all complaints to American voters, please. Elections have consequences. We in Canada hold you all responsible, including democrats, for permitting Trump 2.0; we barely forgave for 1.0. The Canadian government could lift boycotts tomorrow: Canadians aren't buying.

Canada is the only developed country in the world that pays for the opposition leaders housing. Doesn’t sound very fiscally responsible. Dude makes $320,000 a year. He can afford his own house. Like the one in Ottawa that he owns and rents to @MichaelCooperMP.
Ryan Williams 🇨🇦 | The Competition Guy@Ryan_r_Williams

Scrap the residence for the Leader of the Opposition? What’s next, scrap the Opposition? Stornoway is not a personal perk. It belongs to the office, because in a serious democracy the Opposition is not an inconvenience. It is part of Parliament.
