@AdamDraper Hopefully the Mario Kart tournament isn’t anywhere on your list
English

@AdamDraper This tourney needs to happen …oh and count me in!
English

If anyone can beat me in Mario Kart n64, I will fund their company.
1. They must have a company.
2. They must own an M64.
3. We must play head to head, and I need 24 hours notice.

@ycombinator The world needs a physical response -detection platforms like this are great, especially for investing what happened after an incident, but calling them AI security guards is a stretch
English

Lexius turns existing security cameras into AI security guards that detect theft, prevent liability, and turns months of video into searchable answers.
Congrats on the launch, David and Liam!

Palmer Luckey: The biggest beneficiaries of vibecoding are going to be the shape rotators, not the wordcels.
"The biggest beneficiaries of vibecoding are going to be the hardware nerds like me."
"I was always a pretty terrible software engineer... I've taught myself enough to glue things together and make them work."
"I was only able to accomplish what I accomplished because I focused on what I was good at, which was optomechanics, a little bit of electrical, and then the product integration of all of these different components."
"I didn't have time to learn to program. If I had spent another year or two learning to program at even a reasonable level, I would've been two years behind on everything else."
"And so I'm a big fan of vibecoding—even if everything that comes out of it is slop, it's better than I was able to make."

Announcing American Dynamism Fund II @a16z. We’ve raised $1.176 billion to invest in companies serving the national interest, security and prosperity of America and her allies. On the eve of America’s 250th birthday, our two funds represent a total of $1.776 billion dedicated to American Dynamism. It’s time to build.

@bhalligan 100% agree, we spent arguably more time than we should have determining a fair deal for both us and our potential investors

@oyhsu I would be very entertained to watch someone attempt to take a ShotHawk

I found it interesting how it only took a few world events to go from being seen as “crazy” to suddenly being “visionary”

People will say you’re unqualified. They’ll call what you’re doing inappropriate. That’s when you know you’re on the right track. Paul Graham on building from the margins:
English

@guilleflorvs Oh and I should also mention we have a working MVP, have done a pilot program to validate early software, have liability figured out, and are patent pending!
English

@guilleflorvs Mountable units that can autonomously deploy a non-lethal onto an active shooter or stabbing threat using computer vision after being alerted that there is a threat

It doesn't matter how many times you fail

BREAKING: Marc Cuban asked us to send him dealflow. apply now
English

@scottdwitt @zanehengsperger That’s exactly it, they spend more time focusing on their customers than their jargon (so it left me to fill in the blanks). Their team simply calls it a better prosthetic and doesn’t focus too much on the technical details when discussing it
English

@BrandonJ32060 @zanehengsperger That's really cool!
(I studied biomed engineering at Madison and commercialized tech from the Uni)
But it seems like 'agentic' and related tech jargon undersells the magic that it creates for its user, and the folks around them.
Seems more like a 'Smart Ankle' ?
English

@MFG_SMB @zanehengsperger @Tyler_Plummer @aphysicist Physically mitigate active shootings/ stabbings
English

Manufacturing X: ROLL CALL
What are you doing, building, solving in 5 words or less?
Example
@zanehengsperger
Metal Distribution, faster, better, cheaper
@Tyler_Plummer
Die Casting & automation
@aphysicist
Ai automation for Tool&Die

Build list!
English

@scottdwitt @zanehengsperger They offer a more advanced prosthetic ankle at a fraction of the cost of a traditional one. Most of their growth and traction has been produced organically via word of mouth.
Their agentic ai is specifically trained towards individuals doing normal movements (and works)
English

@BrandonJ32060 @zanehengsperger Why do they *matter* to patients/payors?
what does their agentic ai make possible that other products can't?
English

@guilleflorvs @robertherjavec @rdominguezibar How should physical AI/ hardware companies go about manufacturing in US and communicating this intention with potential investors?
