Big Shots Spotlight! Braxton Bogard (6’8 2028 Archbishop Spalding, MD) The best way to describe Braxton’s versatility is to refer to him as a mismatch “hunting” point forward. Skilled, physical with fluid athleticism who thrives with mid range shooting efficiency and his ability to maneuver his powerful 6’8 210 pound frame in traffic and score. His range extends out beyond the arc where he is an efficient catch and shoot threat. Braxton handles the ball nicely breaking down defenders with jabs and attacking angles using his strong frame and nimble footwork to get where he wants off the dribble. He can hit the dribble pull-up with great consistency and also finishes at the rim and through contact utilizing his powerful frame and soft touch. He does an outstanding job initiating contact and creating space on the dribble pull-up. He’s a powerful leaper often finishing drives with thunderous two hand rim rocking slams. Outstanding footwork, agile. Braxton comes from an athletic family. His Dad played football at Army and his cousin played basketball at Yale. Spalding’s young front court took advantage of the @DMVHoopsLive stage to announce themselves to the DMV. Both rising sophomores who already have power 5 offers put together an impressive live period as did @AshsCoach as a unit. Braxton Bogard showed significant strides heading into year 2 with the Cavs. @BraxtonBogard put together 4 double doubles and showed great toughness on both ends. Nash Avery is the younger brother of multi sport Good Counsel standout and @TerpsFootball LB Neeo Avery. @Nashavery_ made himself known with a couple massive posters and 11 ppg, joining spalding for the second weekend and improving each game. 📸: Bradley Steiner
