Given my pessimism ahead of today, I was pleased with how we acquitted ourselves this afternoon. Disappointing in the end but delighted at pride shown in the jersey. Plenty of improvement to be made but no provincial finalist will want us coming to them in the All Ireland series.

The great Nudie Hughes has died. I can’t find the words to do him justice. A beautiful human being. He joined us on the GAA Social Podcast earlier this year. He’s been living with cancer since 2018. In football and in life, his attitude was different class
