Again, you're not arguing against what he said, just the fact he spoke. In a global society of free speech, criticism and public discourse are corner stones of a healthy community. His views on the NATO border and posing a threat to Russia are common arguments. He's not saying anything new. He can say whatever he wants. Just like the west can continue to criticise SA for racist policy.

@BrendanHanley @McFaul Free lesson: That is exactly how NATO membership is determined.🫩 An outside observer/nation is entitled to a policy opinion. They are not entitled to issue declarations on behalf of an alliance they don't belong to, regarding a sovereign nation they don't govern.
🅹 🅴 🆁 🆁 🆈 🅰@MindOfJera

@DivineShadow33 @McFaul If he said: "I don't think Ukraine should join NATO" -that is an opinion. If he said: "Ukraine CANNOT join NATO" -this is not an opinion. It is framed as an assertion of fact and a geopolitical declaration that he has zero legal authority/sphere of influence to enforce or claim.

@McFaul Yea. Disturbingly presumptuous and emphatically ignorant. SA is no NATO member, and not even in the continents nor member countries having influence or say on this. No business. No authority. Totally inconsequential and dumb statement. To be honest, it bothers on stupidity.

I don’t understand the anger about the golf ball roll back. It will make no difference whatsoever to the average golfer and puts golf back on a path of sustainability. It will also help bring back certain skills in the pro game that have been eradicated over the past 2 decades. The people who are upset about this decision shouldn’t be mad at the governing bodies, they should be mad at elite pros and club/ball manufacturers because they didn’t want bifurcation. The governing bodies presented us with that option earlier this year. Elite pros and ball manufacturers think bifurcation would negatively affect their bottom lines, when in reality, the game is already bifurcated. You think we play the same stuff you do? They put pressure on the governing bodies to roll it back to a lesser degree for everyone. Bifurcation was the logical answer for everyone, but yet again in this game, money talks.

Mr. Bezos: Let's have that debate. Under my 5% billionaires wealth tax, we'd: -Give $12K to a working family of 4 -Expand Medicare for dental, vision, hearing -Guarantee universal childcare -Raise starting teacher pay to $60K And you'd still be worth $269 billion after taxes.
More Perfect Union@MorePerfectUS

Jeff Bezos on CNBC: "If people want me to pay more billions, then let's have that debate, but don't pretend that that's gonna solve the problem. You could double the taxes I pay, and it's not gonna help that teacher in Queens.... Airbnb isn't causing high rents. What's really causing high rent is government intervention."

@MMGOLFSTUDIOS I agree. Far more important is how soft/sandy the teeing area is. If it's soft, the wooden tee can move, rather with a firm surface, the resistance will cause it to break.

Common misconception. I hit like 6 up. Break 90% of wood tees hit with driver.
Blake Atlas@LilBill811

@stuck_n_a_bunk @ddbleek685 AoA on the driver is too steep if you need that many. Also, we’re not sacrificing brand new wood tees on par 3’s either.

@ProGolfCritic @PengeMarco @PGATOUR Leaving your home country in seek of a life as "an expat" is not for everyone. I'm 17 years into it, and I'm fine, but I've seen so many people try, only to fall homesick and move back. It's not for everyone.

The battle @PengeMarco is fighting is 1 that golf fans don’t see. It’s a lot to uproot your family & pregnant wife to Florida, when you’ve lived your entire life elsewhere. Good part of why I advocate for a decentralized global golf economy outside of 🇺🇸. Playing @PGATOUR golf full time is not for everyone, and you should be allowed to do what works best for you without being ostracized.

So by this (il)logic, it was never possible to exert pressure on Iran, and therefore we should just have accepted its eventual attainment of a nuclear weapon, and its eventual destruction of Israel, and its threat to Europe, and terror against Americans. Glad Trump is in charge.
Rosemary Kelanic@RKelanic

Unfortunately, there's not much the U.S. can do to stop Iran's leverage over Hormuz, which boils down to geography + guerrilla tactics. Iran can cheaply menace Hormuz indefinitely. Reopening it is expensive and hard. This is what Trump's foolish war has created.
