@McFranchisee @CocaCola @drpepper Do you know why national flavors only have one diet option out of six? Five of the six being full sugar seems odd given the popularity of diet soda

2/2 We have 6 national flavors: - Coke - Diet Coke - Sprite - Fanta Orange - Orange HiC - Dr Pepper Each business unit ONLY has 2 local options to add to the national lineup. You can pick many options from @CocaCola or @drpepper brand: Coke: Coke Zero, Powerade, Fanta, Vernor’s, Barqs, Mello Yello, Light Lemonade, Fruit Punch Dr Pepper: Diet Dr Pepper, IBC Root Beer, Canada Dry, Big Red I’m sure there are a few others but this is on the top of my head.

1/2 Orange Hi-C Zero 🥤 No, this is not a real flavor (yet 🤞), but hear me out. This would give us a national zero-calorie, non-carbonated option, which we don’t have. It wouldn’t require changing lines and would give this flavor another boost in addition to our new Orange Dream Crafted McCafe Drink. Would you prefer a zero hi-c?

BTW, I tried to order some a few years ago; we get them from Coke. They no longer have them available. I was sent Powerade ones instead (and Powerade isn’t a national flavor 😭). Maybe one day we can procure them again. Would you get one for a party?

@HotDogLarry1 @Noahp245 Doesn’t seem that tough to me? Leave at 6pm Sunday night, land at 8pm local, go to bed and then wake up in Seattle with the entire day to rest/prepare for game. The very common day game after a night game feels way worse than this

Having no off day before flying to Seattle seemed like a questionable schedule call. White Sox look tired and not ready to play tonight. Go get em tomorrow I guess

@mattlindner It is objectively one of the biggest tourist attractions Chicago has. A solid portion of summer crowds are tourists. Nothing wrong w that.

“Wrigley is a tourist stop that you check off the list” man, I’ve lived within walking distance of the ballpark for 15 years now. If I’m on vacation, it’s the longest vacation ever.
JonnyBaseball 🇺🇸 | ジョニーベースボール 🇯🇵@J0NNYBaseball

At least @thekapman is handling the humble pie well! 😂 Being a “Cubs fan” is literally exactly what you are describing to a huge portion of your fan base. Wrigley is a tourist stop, that you check off the list like Garretts and The Bean. A vacation photo op. That’s why Sox fans are so annoyed by “Cubs fans” most are just bandwagon, we don’t jump on and off on the Southside. Put a competitive team together and we’ll show up, lie to us and tell us you’re trying and we won’t. That’s actually admirable. Cubs laugh at our attendance because they don’t get it, it’s not Six Flags, Jerry needs to earn our money. x.com/ESPN1000/statu…

@JamesFox917 Yup. But food being good is also why it’s a bad experience when crowded. They aren’t just spitting out the top six classic ballpark food items in an efficient way. Wrigley does this and keeps people moving. good food means less efficient distribution. Gotta skip it this weekend

@jon_greenberg @JeffAgrest I was there May 9 and all I get are 24oz miller lites. Just checked credit card and it’s $15.27 after tax. That said, surprised 24oz can is $15.99, but maybe that’s not for a light domestic. I think apples to apples 24oz light domestic draft is $13.79 at rate and $17.99 at wrig

@BrettChapman_ @JeffAgrest So I compared the 24 oz can at Rate to the large 24 oz draft at Wrigley. I don’t think the $13.79 draft is 24 oz, but I might be wrong! Should’ve checked.

@ChiSoxFanMike Even the best pitcher plays one of every five games. He’ll be replaced by another major league pitcher. Over 2-3 months tigers maybe lose five more games without him than with him

It's not that deep - DFW sucks. You can build a nice life there and there are some cool areas but the general surroundings are bland and when you come from the west coast (or the east coast) it becomes overbearingly bland
Amy Nixon@texasrunnerDFW

I am astounded by the number of millennial families who moved to Dallas, bought a home, then turned around and sold the home to move out of Dallas, in less than a 5 year time span Is Dallas just super transient or is this a post-pandemic phenomenon happening everywhere?

A month of $9 lattes from Starbucks costs $225 (plus an added 20% if you tip). A month of lattes from home costs $71.34 and that’s if you’re buying a brand new (admittedly low end but functional) machine every month. But who does that? Once the sunk costs of the machine are paid for, your monthly cost is $16.35 for a month of lattes… or $0.66 each. $9 vs $0.66. Not hard to understand is it? In what universe is getting dressed, finding a parking spot, standing in line to order, waiting in another line for pickup, looking for a place to sit and deciding there’s nowhere actually comfortable so you might as well take that latte home or drink it in the car on your way to work is somehow worth the actual cost? A month of Starbucks vs. your internet and Netflix for the month. A month of Starbucks vs an entire week of groceries. A month of Starbucks vs not lining the pockets of a guy who made $95.8 million in 2024 (that’s 6,666 times the average barista’s pay, by the way). Get wrecked, Starbucks. You’re out of touch.

Starbucks CEO defends a $9 coffee ☕️ • Says it can be worth it for a 'premium experience' — examples include a nice place to sit and friendly baristas • He thinks some people look at it as 'really affordable' because it's 'less than $10' "In some cases, $9 does feel like you're splurging ... that means we have to make it worth your while" (via @WSJ)

@effthealgorithm The real crazy one is when you do the math on a cup of drip coffee. They’re charging $3-$4 per cup for crappy black coffee that costs them about $0.05 to make
