@johngbennett Ours is only a baby compared to yours John but we went to a roll back roof shed from “Grant Sheds” this year. All the benefits you mentioned for us also, spreading program nearly finished so will be used to shed a couple of flat top trailers for a few months.

This has been a real efficiency gain in a recent shed build. Great for unloading trucks as well as cost effective storage. All of our fert storage has previously been upright. Hoping it will also add flexibility at harvest time with short term storage.

Update on my Vic road trip this week. Installed my 600th weather station site! When I started Agbyte in '09, I was still working at Landmark (Nutrien) as a research Agro, never thought it would grow into what it is today. Also recently installed my 500th dryland Soil Moisture Probe - I'd be reasonably confident this is the largest non-irrigated SMP network in the world. Been early morns, swagged a couple of nights at the installation site. Got held up on Tues with the extreme fire weather, so couldn't do any paddock work, sat on the shore of Lake Bolac configuring telemetry devices. I feel very blessed that I have the opportunity to do what I do and see the amazing Aussie countryside as well as work with innovative & driven primary producers. 5 more weather stations to install today on my way home today.

U know Perth is alright when u leave your bike outside the OBH for the night with the keys in it and it’s still there in the morning….😳😝

@beautyson05 There’s a YouTube video on replacing the seal which I’ve just followed just search banjo pump seal replacement, new seal kit should come with a bolt to screw in which then pulls off the impeller (mine was on a Honda motor).

Trying to get the impeller of a 3” banjo pump having trouble getting it off is there a trick to getting it off

@nig_michael Talk to Ausplow but I was told they could handle up to 6t I think it was on the drawbar which would include tank, brackets, hoses etc and whatever is left could be product.

How big a tank have you seen on the drawbar of a 12m DBS? Dual wheels 300 spacing. Could mount a 5kl but talking about lower analysis N products and keeping rates up wondering if a 7kl is too much. Want to mount is as far aft as possible to save interference with depth.

@DavidPuls Ours got back there about 4:30, 21 trucks in front and got out at 6:45, 6 trucks behind him before they got to go home. Busy joint.

@CorbinSchuster @RidgeClear Well that was one of the reasons it went back up!!, in the end the length required to fill spreader would have seen it poke quite a bit heigher than the bin when folded up which we didn’t want. Need to save our dollars for a new one with a big Supa Tube. 👍

@BrettMcewan @RidgeClear Just need a small conveyor on the back and it'd be ideal for loading up fert spreaders with urea out in the paddock!

Sent our @RidgeClear bin back after seeding/spreading last season for some upgrades/updates. It’s home and looking better than new with a fresh coat of paint to top it off. Make sure you look them up if your in the market for a seed/super bin you won’t be disappointed.

@Nel_farms I reckon there is another seed saving kit that fills more gaps, out of stock until January so won’t help this year. I have an email with part numbers but can’t find it atm.

Does everyone have some canola loss where the side belts throw onto the centre belt on MacDons? Got the seed saver type kit on front. Guessing canola seeds just sit on belt against knife and then flick off at end of side belt as it turns under🤷🏼‍♂️.

@therealbiztang @teasy64 @jfowler_emmetts @ryan_milgate @nullaboo48 Takes some practice and skill but can be done 😉 I decided awhile ago we have way to much grass around the yard as it takes some commitment. I guess machinery keeps getting bigger and our yard seems to keep growing to accommodate.

I have one with a steering wheel and drinking beer is easy I’m affird if I went to 0 turn I won’t be able to drink beer very easy?

What’s peoples thoughts on the best zero turn mowers. Have been looking into a hustler but happy to hear people’s thoughts

@teasy64 @therealbiztang @jfowler_emmetts @ryan_milgate @nullaboo48 We have a Diesel Torro, 72’ cut rear discharge also, same reasons as you Peter didn’t want to be throwing cut stuff onto uncut. Can really flatten some country with it, best when used often and not as a slasher also.

@therealbiztang @jfowler_emmetts @ryan_milgate @nullaboo48 I've had an old diesel kubota front deck I bought second hand for 10 years. Just oil and filter and a throttle cable is all I've ever done to it. Son has it at his place now.

@Nel_farms I did the same back in 2016 on a small patch, looked crap early too but a good spring that year helped it a lot. Never matched the rest of the paddock but was well worth leaving in that instance from memory. I’ll see if I can find a yield map.

50g/ha spinnaker on beans last year, late sown tt canola this year. Now looking terrible. Only just joined the dots 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ 😢. What’s it going to do from here?
